Your adorable four legged host's name is Baxter, and he is a short hair dachshund, your bungalow is in his beautiful back yard and he loves belly rubs but don't give them when greeting him, he might piddle a bit. He has a hard time controlling when being greeted enthusiastically :) Sometimes he is a bit shy at first, often just sticking his head out of the doggie door to assess the situation. If he is being a bit shy you can try whistling for him, I do that to call him, Sometimes he will play ball if he's in the mood, but his favorite thing to do is lay out in the sun in the mornings!

Guest access
There is plenty of street parking available. Please try to park directly in front of the property when possible, and try to park to allow two cars in front of the home. The gate entrance to left of the home will lead you to Baxter's Bungalow. (Check In instructions are available with pictures) If I am not available to meet you there is a lockbox on the door to the Bungalow, code is provided after check in. Please let me know if you would like an early or late check in and I will do my best to accommodate.

Other things to note
Baxter is five years old and does bark at times as he is a fierce protector of his home and property :) He has a touch of the small dog syndrome, he thinks he is a much bigger dog but is very friendly and lovable once he gets to know you.

I'm 48 and have lived in Phoenix for 18 years now. I'm a southerner at heart originally from Georgia, and although I miss it at times, I have really grown to love the southwest and the unique beauty of the desert. I work from home as a Mortgage Loan Originator, which allows me to be a host! Baxter is my 6 year old dachshund, and your back yard host :) He's usually a bit shy until he gets to know you, but he's a very friendly and lovable pup. Baxter and I have been hosting now for a little over a year and really have enjoyed the experience, and especially the opportunity to meet new and interesting people from all over.
