Interaction with Guests
I really enjoy meeting new people and the large shared dining and lounge areas and open verandahs are perfect for meeting other guests.
The Daintree is a kind of Paradise - untouched primary lowland rainforest, pristine rainforest creeks and world heritage beaches. The reef, the mountains, the sea, the wildlife, the forest - it's amazing to explore but there's also nowhere more tranquil to relax!
There is very limited local transport in the Daintree and it is very expensive. You really need a car to make the most of your stay here. You can hire them relatively cheaply (e.g. $35/day) in Cairns which is less than the cost of a one-way bus ticket to get here. Call me or email to find out more information about car-hire companies if you would like help with this.
Enjoy the tranquility.
Explore the Daintree.
Only smoking outside or on private balconies.
Be prepared to extend your stay - you will probably want to!!
The Golden Orchid Retreat cabin - perfect for couples/families who just want to 'get away from it all...
