Hello,
This beautiful airy home was built in the 1913, it's a lovely home centrally located in the heart of Historic LA. 6 miles to LA's no.1 Tourist attraction "Farmers Market" the Home is in a very quiet tree lined neighborhood, my neighbors have been living in the area for over 50 years, my neighbors are either related or have known each other for a very long time….we are very much a family home.
Please read below, I've answered some commonly asked questions and given some extra details.

Super Turbo Speed Internet, I also have an internet extender.

Private room is airy, spacious with a shared bathroom and a queen Bed and a desk. We have a lovely live in house keeper who can clean the room. This room is comfortable and also has a ceiling fan.

Feel free to use the kitchen as well.

I am a very Happy, busy, hospitable, friendly Country Australian. I'd love for you to have a wonderful experience. I love to welcome people into my home.
I'm also happy if you like to do your own thing and come and go at your own leisure. It can be your own private palace or you can come out and socialize.

Studio
I have a sound room and a studio which has a green screen, it's great for industry people.
This home is within 20 minutes of all major studio's.

Transport:
Hertz is located close.
There is a shuttle bus from the air port which is about $20 per person but will drop you to my door step, you can pre book this on line or just catch one at the airport, they are plentiful.

There are a few different Taxi cab services, I have a great one to recommend as the other often leaves if your not out the front, ask me.

Guest Access

I will organize a key spot when you email me. The front gate is unlocked so you can come and go freely.

Interaction with Guests

I'm Australian, social interaction is part of my nature. Think of staying with as staying with you're favorite Aunty, make yourself at home.

The Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is friendly and safe, tree lined street and transport is close, the bus stop is a couple minute's walk from the home, you can walk to the Washington Markets on the next street over, with nail spa's "Mani Pedi" is about $20 and they do a great job. The swap meet is full of things you find down town and very eclectic. With a large post office, restaurants, food markets, 99 cent store, mobile phone store, grab a tattoo for $15, alterations for cloth's, laundromat …. there is also a laundromat 3 houses away which is amongst a smaller market place with another nail salon and a few restaurants. The supermarket has a great selection of unusual and local food at market prices. It's fun to shop there.

Lyft is another kind of Taxi service like air b n b its a taxi service by the people, (website hidden) it and join...it's much cheaper and way more friendlier....just an option, it's all I use.

We are 10 minutes from Miracle Mile "The Grove, Farmers Market" Great for catching celebrities shopping, hosting or singing", We are 20 minutes from Venice Beach, Santa Monica, North Hollywood/Burbank/Studio City and Hollywood, Beverly Hills and down town are 10 minutes away. "Down Town Fashion district". I have a list of wonderful tourist attraction's I can suggest such as local hiking trails, horse riding, museums, beach's, camping, skiing, shopping, theme parks etc. Groupons have some great deals on shopping/restaurants/attractions so it's worth looking into. (website hidden) anything you would like to do or see on your iphone or your computer .... there are many thing's to do in LA.

  • I couldn't believe that it was possible to become almost family within a matter of hours, and that's how Rebekah made me feel! The studio was perfect for my needs with plenty of space to spread out my January sales fix. However, I probably spent more time in the house kitchen eating, drinking and living the moment! It's just a shame I only stayed 3 nights....but I'm sure I'll be back to see my Aussie sister in the future!

  • We had a great stay here. Rebekah was easygoing and friendly and always willing to help out with insider info on LA. the studio is big, bright and sunny. Very quiet but in a central location. it was a great base. Feel very lucky to have landed here - made all the difference to our visit to LA.

  • Rebekah welcomed us with a pork chop and took us in with appreciation and care. She has a lovely home, and was endlessly helpful with information and local knowledge. We absolutely loved our time here and look forward to meeting up with Bek next time we're in L.A.

  • Rebekah was an amazing host. The internet was acting sluggish when I first arrived and I had to work out of the studio so she immediately jumped on the issue and got the cable people out and in no time the problem was solved. This studio has a lot privacy if you need it...but Rebekah makes sure you know you are welcome to come into the front house for absolutely anything you may need. Whether it be coffee in the morning...or just a chat with the people who are there...and fascinating people seem to be coming out of the woodwork! ...Rebekah being one of the most interesting, fun, lively & extremely kind hearted people I have met in ages. She is beautiful and her home is as welcoming as you can get! Enjoy! I hope to visit many times in the future:)

She is an incredible woman beyond just making your stay comfortable and relaxing.

  • Rebekah was perfect in communicating with me along the way. I was greeted and the studio was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, clean, secure behind the entry gate, in a quiet neighborhood and I slept very well there. The location was away from traffic in a quiet spot but easy to drive out to my business meetings. I hope to stay there again and will recommend it,
    Thank you Rebekah!

  • Well what can I say except the private studio was just as in the photos. Loved the fact that it was private but still was welcome to go down to the main house for coffee or to have a chat with Beks or her nanny Liz. Felt very at home as an English/Kiwi who had lived in Australia. Beks was the perfect Aussie host, friendly, down to earth & always willing to have a chat. Even share her vegemite/toast, thanks for that.
The studio was clean, equipped with what I needed. The TV was a great bonus. On my first day Beks very kindly drove me to the fashion district. Was easy access for me to get the bus the following day. Although best to check on times as there maybe a bit of a wait if you miss one. Otherwise a great stay with a great host. Have made a friend here for sure!
