Airbnb Reviews If you are happy here review us on airbnb.
Pete and his wife were extremely welcoming and friendly. They made us feel special even though they have seen a lot of guests over the 3 or so years they've been doing this. I must not have read the original posting carefully enough because I hadn't realized until right before we were to arrive that we would be sharing a bathroom with other guests from another room, and that there were 2 other rooms for let in the house. So, the place had more of a bed-and-breakfast feel than I was expecting. Everyone was very nice, though, and Pete was kind enough to loan us two bikes with helmet and lock, which was awesome! We were about a 15 minute ride from downtown, via relatively quiet streets and a bike path. The coffee cake in the am was delicious, and the fluffy cat was a sweetheart!
Pete was a gracious host with a beautiful, cozy home in a quiet neihborhood in Satna Cruz. Pete made me feel welcome from the moment i set foot in his home. This was my first airbnb reservation and Pete's hospitality has made me a believer. The room was cozy, immaculate, as described in the listing and allowed me a restful night. Breakfast was a highlight as Pete provided a selection of delicious cakes and awesome coffee. But most enjoyable was Pete's conversation over coffee. Pete clearly enjoys the company of his guests and makes them feel right at home. I strongly recommend staying at the Tranquility Room when visiting Santa Cruz.
Pete was out of town, but Cathy was a very friendly host. She helped us plan our time in Santa Cruz, and gave great suggestions. The place was clean and quiet and looked just like the pictures. It is a great location, very central to everything. Only negative would be recommending that you bring Claritin if you have cat allergies. But we had a great trip and we enjoyed borrowing their bikes for a ride over to the coast.
My partner and j really enjoyed the very homely stay at Pete's place. His wife Cathy was super helpful and we loved the home made breads she made. The house was charming and warm.
We had a great night sleep.
If you are after some character with a homely feel then this is a wonderful stay.
Pete's place was just super sweet, reminded us of European family in the cottage stay.
Pete and his wife Kathy were very welcoming, and made my daughter and I feel very much at home.
Pete was a great host, he showed me the house and backyard/garden upon arrival.
I met Cathy soon after and she is a very sweet, kind lady.
We went to the Crows Nest and saw a Eagles cover band Friday night. Saturday morning Pete treated me and my wife to a delicious homemade soufflé omelet with lemon cake(since it was my birthday).
I took advantage of the free passes to the aquarium and it didn't fail to entertain my senses.
We came back and I used the grill outside to bbq some chicken breast and veggies I brought from home.
Pete was nice enough to put a outside wood fire on for me and we chatted and relaxed for the night.
It was beautiful and cozy in the morning cause it began to drizzle so we slept in some.
My wife was a bit hesitant at first because we are new to Airbnb but she trusted me and by Sunday she was relaxed and chatting it up with Cathy before our departure :)
Everything was as pictured and described and we will definitely return soon to Santa Cruz!(it was the perfect getaway!)
Pete was a wonderful host and such a pleasure to talk with! He made a delicious omelette souffle (with the eggs the hens in the backyard produced #homegrown) and always made myself and the other guests feel welcome. Was lucky enough to meet Cathy before I left, she was a joy as well! Love the home, so charming and warm. Would gladly return and highly recommend to other AirBNBers.
