Pete and Cathy were very welcoming hosts! My girlfriend and I were in Santa Cruz for a mini break from NYC, and got more than what we bargained for. Cathy and I shared our interest for Woody Allen Films, while Pete toured us around his incredible home. The coffee and tangerine cake was awesome. Don't think twice in staying here!
Pete and Cathy were good hosts. The neighborhood was great and the room as advertised. It was a very nicely furnished house and we enjoyed the use of the bicycles. Pete likes to cook breakfast and chat a bit. There is lots of info about what to do in Santa Cruz and they were quite responsive to our various needs. Thanks!
We had a wonderful weekend despite the weather not being agreeable. Pete and Cathy are such wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the coffee and coffee cake in the morning alongside a copy of the New York Times. The location was easy to get to off of Highway 1 and since it rained, my husband and I decided to use the guest passes for the Monterey Bay Aquarium which worked out perfect. Pete made sure we were comfortable and that our stay was pleasant. We enjoyed it so much that we will look to stay here again the next time we are in the area.
We had a very peaceful stay and we look forward to coming back. The coffee and homemade applesauce cake in the morning was a nice touch and very delicious. We brought our eight month old baby girl with us and both of the hosts are very kind to her.
Pete was out of town when I stayed there so I didn't get to meet him, but he was very friendly on the phone and gave very easy instructions for how to get into the house and where everything was. The house and yard were beautiful and charming and clean. Bed was super comfy and the room was bright and clean. I would love to stay there again!
Pete and his wife were great hosts. They made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed exploring the back yard and watching the finches and chickens. The room was cozy with a bed heater and a room heater to keep us warm. And they fed us some tasty muffins in the morning.
Pete made us feel extremely welcome by opening his home to us, providing us with information about Santa Cruz, and making us breakfast. I recommend Pete's house to anyone visiting Santa Cruz!
