My overall experience was pretty awesome. Claudia, her family and their hospitality was very welcoming. The accommodations exceeded my expectations. This was my first AirBnB and from this experience definitely not my last.
Everything was excellent except parking was difficult.
Claudia was waiting in the street for us, and did a great job showing us around the place. She was full of things we could do while in Oakland, a great local guide. Her house is gloriously quiet and well organised, and she is generous with towels, bath stuffs and communal food supplies.
We absolutely loved our stay with Claudia and can recommend her place unreservedly.
Our experience with Claudia was charming- the rooms were beautiful, she was extremely friendly and has a great life story. We felt like we'd stumbled upon an absolute gem.
The location was perfect for a morning jog around Lake Merrit, there's an excellent farmer's market, great restaurants and nightlife. She recommended us an unforgettable bar down the street which was one of the highlights of the weekend. The deck was great to stretch on in the morning sunlight. I would return in a heartbeat!
This was a great, spacious room. The bed was soft and comfy. The bathroom is right outside the door and I loved that Claudia keeps some toiletries available in case you forget yours. I also appreciated the snacks in the kitchen i.e. cereal, toast, jam, yogurt, teas, coffee, and juice. I really enjoyed my stay.
We had a delightful stay. The room was great and our host made us feel right at home. I plan to stay their again in the future.
We loved everything about our visit. Many thoughtful touches throughout this home, including a stocked kitchen for DIY breakfast, toiletries and hair dryer, and fresh towels. The home was quiet, peaceful, and sun-filled. The private entry with key code was very convenient, as was the free street parking. We never ran into problems sharing the bathroom with the couple staying across the hall. There are a few bars and restaurants within a 5 mins walk, and the BART entrance was a 20-30 min walk around the Lake. I highly recommend staying at the Mansion! Thank you, Claudia!

About the Host, Claudia
Love attention to detail and excellent service. After living in Asia for many years I really appreciate the subtle luxuries in life that make a difference. Friendly, artistic and caring are qualities that best describe my nature. We started using AirBnB to help fund our online video start-up, Minimash. Sadly the business didn't happen, but we stuck with Airbnb. Love cooking, baking, DIY, crafts, cheese, micro-beers, art, photography and all things beautiful in any shape and form.
