Interaction with Guests
We are pretty good at the Airbnb dance. Each guest wants a certain level of interaction and we do our best to give you all the needed information and give you privacy at the same time. You will receive more suggestions than you know what to do with your reservation acceptance but we are happy to make any other suggestions as needed. If you are into hiking, Evan knows Big Sur like the back of his hand!
This is a safe, serene neighborhood with lots of nice people. Our neighbors support our making our living via Airbnb due to our considerate guests. Thank you...
There is some public transportation, but it is best to have your own car. There is a specific parking spot for your vehicle in front of our home. We ask you read the instructions before arriving so you are clear as to where to park.
Other Things to Note
As mentioned, there may/may not be guests in the main house. Please let us know if this makes a difference in your decision before we accept your reservation. We tend to rent the house out mainly during the summer months or some weekends.
Out of the hundreds of people that we've hosted, 99% of them have been wonderful people. IF you think you might be that funky (in a bad way) 1%, let us know beforehand and we'll suggest a nice hotel!
If you have kleptomaniac tendencies, stay away from our vinyl collection.
There is a possibility (especially summer or weekends) that our main house may be rented by other Airbnb guests. Everyone shares the gardens. Quiet hours in the gardens are from 9pm to 10am. This is a quiet neighborhood and noise carries. Our home is a sanctuary, not a party house.
Read the information that is sent with your booking. Lots of great suggestions (hikes, favorite things to do, restaurants, etc…) and also where to park (very important) how to get hot water in the shower etc… PLEASE read!
Bottom line, it's all basic stuff. Come relax, be kind and enjoy yourself… as you can tell by the reviews, CA DREAM is pretty magical. Prepare yourself for something special!
Thank you…. Sarah and Evan
Hi Fellow Airbnbers,
Evan and I moved from San Francisco to Pacific Grove thirteen years ago. Evan is an entrepreneur and I am a songwriter. When Josh and Iyla (our kids) moved out, we started Airbnb. We've been hosts for four years! We have used Airbnb throughout Europe and are happy to now be offering our own home and bungalow to wonderful people like you. Our interests are traveling, reading, hiking (Evin has hiked almost all of Big Sur) good food, interesting conversation, rock balancing, yoga, writing and music. We try to get to the beach daily where we walk our three legged blind dog Zeus. He is the coolest member of our family.
