You can visit Austin and stay close to all the action without losing the comforts of home. The house, built in 1920, has 3 bedrooms (King, Queen, Full beds), and 2 1/2 baths. With lots of room to spread out, there is the potential for 2 air mattresses to be added to accommodate more people (with permission). You have access to a full kitchen, dining room for 8+, television (Uverse and Apple TV), wireless internet, and our ever-growing vinyl record collection. You also have the comforts of a washer and dryer, and a tankless water heater. You have a large front porch on which to relax with your morning coffee or tea and a backyard equipped with a gas grill and fire pit for your evenings.
Located in a very walkable location, you have coffee shops, restaurants, and bars all located just a few minutes away on foot. The convention center is 4 blocks away, which makes this the perfect place to stay for groups attending events and conferences.
We have no drive-way or garage, which is typical for this neighborhood. If you drive here or rent a car, parking is not a problem on the street directly in front of the house. During South By Southwest, parking does become an issue (because this location is rock star!) and orange cones are provided to save your parking spaces should you leave in your car. The orange cones have worked well in years past.
The house and property is intended for private dwelling purposes. For any gatherings larger than 8 persons, or for pets to be allowed on the premises, prior written consent must be given.
No smoking allowed inside the house.
If you have any special requests, or questions, don't hesitate to ask!
The house is beautiful and had a nice collection of small snacks, water and beverages. Perfectly located for SXSW, and plenty of bathrooms for multiple guests. We loved it.
We booked this house for a work trip for six folks to Austin. The location was perfect, and the house was really clean and super posh. The hosts are accommodating and they have great taste in music. I would stay here again if I return to Austin.
