How to get to the apartment:
The cheapest way from the airport is by Flybus airport shuttle. The Flybus is a direct connection to all arriving and departing flights at Keflavik airport. The Flybus departs from Keflavik Airport 35-40 minutes after each flight and the seats are always guaranteed.

Please find other information such as flybus prices on ((website hidden)) . The drive from the airport Keflavik to Reykjavik takes about 45 minutes. The Flybus stops at BSI which is about a 10 minute walk away from the apartment but the flybus does offer the option, for a little extra fee, to stop at Hotel Óðinsvé which is 1 minute walking from the apartment, so that would probably be the best option for people traveling with luggage.

We are very friendly and hospitable owners so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have further questions.

Look forward seeing you hopefully in Iceland :)

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Overall the apartment was quite nice - unfortunately there were quite a few maintenance issues: The bedroom door handle was broken and if the door was closed then you became locked inside until someone could turn the handle from the outside. Therefore some people in our group had to sleep with the bedroom door open which wasn't great for privacy; There didn't seem to be any control over the heating and the radiator in the bedroom would not turn off. The knob on the radiator in the livingroom also fell off and so the apartment was very hot at all times; There was a note in the bedroom instructing us to keep the blind down at all times. The bedroom therefore had no natural light at all so was very dark; The bathroom has a lot of pipes and equipment in one corner with some mould. Other than these issues, the location was great and access was easy and the place was generally clean. Although I wouldn't stay here again, I believe it was still good value for money overall.

  • Margret's apartment is in the best possible location! Literally walking distance to everything we needed in Reykjavik. But it's so quiet!

We had to alter our travel plans the night we were leaving her apartment because of the weather and Margret was extremely accommodating about letting us stay another night. Everything about this apartment and our interactions with Margret were fantastic!

  • We stayed here for 4 nights earlier this month (Feb '14) and had no problems at all. The location is great, it is a nice apartment and perfect for a short break in Reykjavik. We didn't hear any building noise. We would agree with the comment to get the transfer bus from the airport to save the walk up the hill! Overall a great trip and a nice place to stay.

  • Stayed here last week for 4 nights, the location really is great, definitely recommend it for a trip to Iceland for a few days. Get the transfer bus from the airport as it's a bit of an uphill walk from the bus station :)

  • We just finished an amazing 5 day stay in Iceland at Margrets place. The apartment is located right in the centre of Reykjavik and everything is within a 5 min walk. It made a nice change to have the relaxed atmosphere of our own apartment whilst on holiday. Margret was an exceptional host and responded to all of our questions extremely quickly. Be sure to stay here! Thanks Margret

  • If location was the only criteria this place would get an 11 rating. It is a nice apartment in the center of the best shopping area. The bathroom and kitchen are not the best.
