Mas Alegot is originally a barn built in 1903, which was converted with modern architectural criteria into a residential home, respecting the historical context of the original carácter of construction. The interior spaces are characterized by contemporary comfort, tranquility and spaciousness, they are decorated very tasteful and carefully.
The house has a beautiful view to its sprawling garden and the landscape behind: the maize, rice and sunflower fields, the poplar forests and the mountains of Montgri with its imposing castle. The 1000 m2 large garden offers enough space for relaxing moments with a nice swimming pool, 2 leaves covered patios, barbecue, further lawn, a small organic garden, herbs and trees.
Alegot Mas is located at the end of a very small picturesque and quiet village, Fontclara, in the heart of the Empordà, famous for its medieval stone villages like Peratallada, Pals, Palau Sator or Ullastret.
The special charm of this rural atmosphere is its proximity to the sea: in 10 minutes distance the landscape turns into the beaches, bays and whitewashed fishing villages of the Costa Brava, close to Begur and Pals.
The area is perfect for the individual couple or family holidays, with many different possible activities (excursions on foot or by bicycle, water sports, golf, cultural visits and activities ...), and, of course, with a tempting gastronomical attraction.
When longing for city air, take a trip to the nearby provincial capital of Girona's worth with his sublime cathedral, the Jewish Quarter and the animated nested business - here is also the nearest airport. Or even visit Barcelona, it is not too far away!
