The space

Free-standing house of about 140sqm on 3 levels: basement, first and second floor.
The basement consists of: a large room with vaulted brick currently used as a sitting room and a room that serves as a storage / utility room. The basement, quite independent of the rest of the house can possibly be used as home office. In the adjoining room can be obtained a small bathroom.
On the first floor is the kitchen / dining room with fireplace. From here you access to another room used as pantry and, hence, to the bathroom. From the dining room climb to the second floor consists of a room currently used as a sitting room / office and a small bathroom. Through some steps carved in the walls leads to the two bedrooms one of which located on the top floor has a loft used as a storeroom. The rooms have two beds each (possibly 3). A room with two beds, closed with a sliding can be derived also in the living room / studio below the loft.
From the second floor there is also access to the loft which has been used as a walk-in closet and laundry.

The original house was probably built in the sixteenth century.
For its geographical position and its characteristics (the brick, the chimney) is suitable to be used even in cold weather and it is very suitable to spend the Christmas holidays or New Year's Eve

The village of Monsampolo is a small medieval town, very quiet. The shops in town are few, a small supermarket, a butcher shop, a pizzeria cut and some bars. There are also a pharmacy and a post office. By car and by public transport you can reach in a few minutes, however, the large shopping centers in neighboring countries, or the shops of the larger cities.
Daily bus services can reach in a short time (about 30 minutes) the city of Ascoli Piceno and San Benedetto del Tronto. The beach can be reached in about 20 minutes.

We had a great time in Monsampolo. There is not much in Monsampolo to see, but it is a great base to visit and explore nearby places, e.g. little cities and the Adriatic beaches. The house was very nice, perhaps a bit too hot during the night (no air conditioning available). We loved the style of the house. Some of the kitchen utensils need a replacement, and perhaps a few more plates and better cooking pots would be good.

Laura and Alfredo were amazing hosts and although I wasn't able to stay in their Air BnB that I booked, due to an unforseen water pipe incident in the kitchen, which has since been fixed, they accommodated me in their cottage by their home. Their hospitality and assistance to seeking out sights in the area of Monsampolo was greatly appreciated. Although I had only had a few hours in their Air BnB I assure you that you will be staying in an authentic and beautiful commune on the hill overlooking the hills of Le Marche and the Apennine. With residents as your neighbours you will experience a homely feel and enjoy the Macelleria, grocer and a Pizza restaurant. To take in the gorgeous surrounds of San Benedetto, Monsampolo, Offida and much more, you are on the cusp of Le Marche and Abruzzo and a car would be necessary so to spoil yourself with all the choices. Or simply stay in the village for a comfortable and intriguing experience. Highly recommend....Thank you Laura and Alfredo

We had the possibility to stay for one week in this remarkable medieval house. It was really great, comfortable. Everything was fine. Laura and her family were very kind to us. Unfortunatly we can't speak italian, I think, would be nice to talk more together. It is all like on the photos. Monsampolo is a nice village, very quiet, especially in this street. We highly recommend this house. If possible, we would stay there again. Thank you Laura(URL HIDDEN)

Response from Laura:
