Maida Vale is a very beautiful leafy residential area of Central London near a canal with pretty barges- an area called ‘Little Venice.’ Near by are restaurants and conveniences, including Chef Gordon Ramsey’s Warrington pub and restaurant. Not too far away are the famous London areas of Bayswater, Kensington Palace and gardens, Notting Hill Gate etc., which provide ample opportunity for shopping or just lazing about in the eateries and traditional pubs. It is an affluent area with some very famous neighbors from the film and fashion industries. Lords Cricket Ground and Regents Park in a reasonable walk away. The area has many smart mansion blocks built in and around the 19th Century. The flat itself is in an Edwardian Stucco fronted building. It is opposite a Yoga Centre and Tennis Courts. It is well served by transport links to Marble Arch, Paddington, Westbourne Grove etc and numerous late night buses. All parts of London are easily accessible. Paddington – Oxford Circus and Piccadilly – in less than 15 minutes. Regents Canal runs through Maida Vale. This is a 15 minute walk left from the house on Randolph Avenue. Walk along the Canal East to Little Venice, Regent’s Park, Camden Town and all the way to Kings Cross and beyond. You will be mesmerized by the Georgian and Regency architecture through Regents Park…and catch sight of one or two animals past London Zoo by the canal. Stop by at the gastro pubs along the way. Walk West on the Canal and one arrives at Paddington basin, where you can catch a boat there to Camden Town which is a leisurely ride, taking in the breathtaking views of the heart of London from different angles.
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL NEED A COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT. ANY QUESTIONS, OR CONCERNS, PLEASE ASK ME : )
Travel Advice: Buy an Oyster card FOR ZONE 1&2 ONLY as soon as you land from any tube/train station (Pay for the extra zone to come in and out of the airport separately) . It is much cheaper to do this.
Car: Best not bring a car to London as it is difficult to find parking and is expensive for parking and payment of the Congestion Zone ((website hidden) this to know more about it). Best to leave the car on the outskirt of the city and travel in.
Please note: All I ask is that you wear socks or soft slippers in the flat as the elderly couple in the flat below is sensitive to noise.

There is greenery all around... and it is only 12 minutes to Oxford Circus by tube. There is the cafe culture, lots of gastro pubs and restaurants in the area, yet it is so close to enourmous shopping centre. It is a really gorgeous area!

Lara's apartment was very convenient location wise. It is literally a 2 minute walk from Maida Vale tube station. Right across the flat there is a very cute little park and a yoga place as well.
Nevertheless the apartment did not meet my expectations. It was not clean and the internet connection was facing serious problems constantly.
Lara as a host was very polite and willing to provide information regarding the area.
The location is very central and close to metro.
The heating system operates properly, which is important during winter.
Lara is the owner answered all my questions quickly.

Lara's flat was great! So great I had to book it for a few extra days. The neighborhood is quiet, but very close to a major tube station.
The flat is very large, clean and has everything I needed. Lara was great at making sure everything was fine.
We loved this place. Great neighborhood, spacious flat, big beds and comfy couches. It's only a 3 minute walk from the tube and there's a starbucks on the way, so it's a perfect homebase if you're working in London for the week. There are great restaurants nearby (Thai Rice, the Clifton Hotel, the Salt House, Maida Vale Tandoori, Roma's Cafe). Lara was a pleasure to deal with and was very responsive .

You can expect a warm, hearty welcome when you get here!. Me? I am a young professional recently responding to the Holiday Let industry. I have lived in London all my life and love this beautiful city. I would love to tell you where to go to see the 'hidden London' that most tourists miss. I love people and am interested from where they hale from. I look forward to meet you soon when you visit my lovely city. I can help you by providing you with a lot of information with what London has to offer so you can create your own itinerary for sightseeing and doing a great deal on a low budget. I offer you really comfortable places to stay, BUT I am not a hotel but a home from home. I look forward to you visiting. Lara : )
