Lura and her dog, Roman, greeted our family warmly and made us feel at home. The Airbnb space on the first floor and her space upstairs are easily accessibly by each other yet Lura was very respectful of our privacy. The first floor is wide open to enjoy and has a beautiful curved window to enjoy the beautiful view. We each enjoyed the massage chair and recommend using it for soothing your muscles if you enjoy the area's many activities such as skiing. The two bedrooms have a unique design feature that we very much enjoyed especially our 11 year old son. We look forward to returning when we visit Bend.
HUGE house. We had the whole ground level of this walkout house. It was beautiful! Huge windows let in lots of light. There was a treadmill, yoga room, and a massage chair. I think I got my moneys worth just on the massage chair.
We had a garage to park in and a door from the garage that went straight into our room. Total privacy, fantastic value. There was a loft style area in our bedroom that our 4 year old played in. There was a rock climbing wall in the bedroom that led up to the loft, and a firefighter style pole that you could slide down to the floor with. It was like something out of a movie. We almost spent $110/night on a hotel with one small room. Instead we got (what felt like) a house to ourself with many cool extra features. (Lura should definitely charge more... it is a steal)
There was a golf course and huge park nearby. Our 4 year old loved the house and the parks; and especially loved the friendly dog Roman. The biggest thing I loved was how much space there was. Huge ceilings, giant bathroom with soaker tub (all to ourselves) a giant entry way and a separate living area. Highly recommended!
It was wonderful for us to stay here, we felt very welcome and the host went above and beyond of what would be expected! My son cried when we had to leave because he said "We may never see Roman again.."..Roman is the dog who has the sweetest character. We left with nothing but gratitude and friendly feelings, nourished by the fresh air, snow, and sweet welcome we received at Lura and Brian's home.
My son and I had a wonderful time while staying at Lara and Brian's home. The location was perfect for our ski adventure at Mt. Bachelor Mountain. After skiing each day we enjoyed hot showers, jetted bath tub and comfortable beds to sleep in.
I Truly cannot say enough about how great our stay was and have already told several friends about wonderful our experience was.
Mahalo and Aloha
Lura was always very responsive to emails and questions. The home is in a great location for skiing at Mt. Bachelor. It is also set in a beautiful neighborhood. We even had a deer right outside our window upon waking up the next morning.
Wow! My daughter and I were lucky to find Lura's house to stay in. We had use of their garage with the opener, two bedrooms and the whole radiant heated ground floor. Lura provided for all our needs from soaps and shampoos in the beautiful bath to everything you need to make a simple meal. There was fruit, water, and, chocolates in each of our rooms and coffee beans and tea for us to make. The house is 20 minutes from Mt. Bachelor and a couple miles from Bend so it was easy to get to both. We loved Bend and the skiing. We had a great time. And they had the sweetest dog Roman who would discreetly visit us from time to time.
The home is beautiful and tucked away from suburbia. Lura and her husband are gracious hosts, giving me an excellent tour and allowing me the run of a large first floor, complete with in home surround sound. The stay was very enjoyable. Thank you!
