I am not good with computers and we do not travel with a computer, so we communicated with our hosts by a few phone calls, and that worked just fine. Our hosts had an unexpected family emergency that would have made a less resilient person calling it quits, but we agreed by phone to adjust and help ourselves. This worked out very well, and we still felt welcomed by hand written notes and treats. The family pets added to our welcome. Dog and cat were very well behaved. Bryan and Lura did speak with us briefly as their schedule allowed, even introducing us to their extended family.
The accommodations were extraordinary. We had a whole floor to ourselves. I would certainly choose to stay here again if we were in the Bend area in the future.
Four women were very comfortable in this airbnb, roomy, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds. Our host was warm and helpful during our stay and always available via phone or in person. It was close to town for dinner and in a very scenic part of the area with a view of Mt Batchelor, sunrise and sunset. There was a lovely firepit which we spent the evening sitting around and thoroughly enjoyed.
Great house, great hosts. We had a really nice stay and would have liked to have stayed for a few more days. The house is very spacious and clean, with everything we could have wanted. Lura was lovely and made us feel very welcome into her home!
Our little girl Betty loved Roman the dog!
Overall, a fantastic stay!
Wonderful place to stay! Communicating with Lura about all the details from booking to checkout was fast, easy and clear. The space was better than described, and the little touches like a note on the door and water and fruit in the rooms was just fantastic. Spent the first morning on the patio drinking coffee, reading in the quiet and enjoying the deer. I will absolutely stay here again when in Bend! Thank you Lura!
P.S. Roman is a sweetheart~
Great place to stay. We have tried other places in Bend and this has been our favorite. Lura immediately made us feel at home. She gave a tour of our area and all that we can use for our stay. Her dog (Roman) was friendly and a joy to be around. The cat (Tiger) was just as friendly. Lura told us there was a trail near by that led down to the Deschutes River. I was going for a walk early and Lura rushed out and gave me a map she had drawn that showed me the route to the river. I thought that was kind and very thoughtful of her. Enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Where do I even begin? First, the neighborhood is just a minute outside of town and is very quiet. Lura's home is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The entire downstairs living area, which includes two bedrooms, a large bathroom, a one car garage, and even an outside patio area with a fireplace was made available to us. Lura is a fantastic host. She even grabbed herself and I a bike so she could show me a running trail along the river for my morning run! There were post-it notes with helpful hints and emergency information scattered throughout the space. Lura provided healthy snacks, drinks, and chocolate bars. Lura is a natural at hosting and made us feel like we were in our own home, and not just a guest in hers. We cannot wait to visit Bend again and stay in this fabulous home!
