About this listing

The space

Come enjoy our private ocean view Puerto Vallarta vacation home. It is nestled a few blocks from the water amongst cobblestone streets in the historic colonial part of town. Conveniently located within walking distance to all of Puerto Vallarta's many amenities. Outside, the house has a gated private garden with palm trees and many tropical plants. Inside, it sleeps four; a full bed in the bedroom and two day beds in the living room. There is a full kitchen with a gas stove and all cooking amenities. Simply cook at home with the fresh foods sold nearby or walk to one of the many gourmet restaurants. In addition to the indoor living room, there is a wonderful covered eating patio with a grill, which serves as an outdoor living-room/dining-room. Delight in the traditional Mexican-style architecture with the Spanish tiled roof, colorful Mexican tile, open floorplan and amazing hammocks to lounge on. Come and spend a week, a month, or several months to relax on the beautiful beaches, visit surrounding mountain towns or take Spanish language, yoga, or cooking classes in the area. We hope that you adore our authentic hacienda as much as we do!

We had an amazing time at Casa Miyito. It is walking distance to everything in the old town that you need. It provided a beautiful place to call home while we explored the neighborhood. Lots of great info provided by the host (check out the guestbook), the house manager and even nearby shop owners about delicious eats and handmade goods. We had a couple of issues with the hot water and gas but they were quickly resolved once I messaged Anna. The only difficulty we had was finding a cab back to the airport. We ended up walking down to the boardwalk at 2 am to find one. (Also was scammed by the driver, nothing to do wih Casa Miyito just a warning) highly recommend visiting and staying here. We already can't wait to come back.

If you want to feel like a local, hearing and seeing all the sights and sounds of a neighborhood, yet still within walking distance of the "touristy" places, this is the place for you. We loved it!

The house is very authentic & unique. It is as pictured & loved the close proximity to the malecon (5 blocks.) The only draw back is the last couple blocks of the uphill climb, pretty steep. As long as you are in decent shape, it shouldn't pose a problem.

Very cute and accurately depicted as "rustic". Close to everywhere we needed to go and felt safe and secure.

A very authentic Mexican vacation in an open-air cottage in downtown Puerto Vallarta! Except for the sounds of the nightly fireworks, you might not know you were in downtown Vallarta with Myito's central atrium & private garden. The home is very comfortable & in proximity to malecon, amazing food, the Vallarta Artisanal Market, Isla Cuale, etc. Working-class type neighborhood with a few other tourists & 5 top-rated Vallartan restaurants within blocks. The housekeeper we interacted with was also very lovely, helpful, kind & comedic. Highly recommended & hope to return!

If you like quirky this place is for you. How about not having a roof which covers the whole living room and a palm tree growing through the roof space. Is that quirky enough? It is hard to explain, but there is a big bit of the roof which is just railings. Security is not a problem, no one could break in through the roof. However being open to the elements has its disadvantages. Noise, noise and more noise 24hours a day. When it is cold at night so are you. When it is hot so are you. No ceiling fans or air con or insulation from the elements. Nor can you spray against insects although one bed has a mosquito net. Open air means dusty. It is right at the top of a steep hill, as long as you know that. We didn't find the bed comfortable and the bed room has no door, just a curtain. It is pretty all right, but the view is limited and spoiled by ugly walls next door, right in front of you. It is authentic Mexico and we liked the fact that you are right in the middle of Mexican Puerto Vallarta with Mexican neighbors. There are basic shops near bye and a few places to eat as well. Downtown is walkable the return journey depends on your fitness. Taxis are cheap at $4. Anna and the caretaker were easy to deal with and the caretaker was very helpful, but I was a bit surprised by the $150 cleaning fee, which seemed a bit of a cheek. As long as you know what you are letting yourself in for this place is good value. Air BnB is a community and I feel I have been honest about this place so that people know what they are letting themselves in for. If you want somewhere like this then it is for you..

This casita is ridiculously cute and in an awesome neighborhood. It's pretty much everything we wanted out of a place to land and feel completely charmed when we arrived in puerto vallarta. The kitchen is well equipped with the basics, the space is really usable, the porch is incredibly peaceful and cozy, the gardens were beautiful, and the ambience was perfect. We could have just stayed in the place and walked around the neighborhood instead of touring PV - that's how much we liked it. Its a bit up the hill from town but in a good way - the walk is perfect for evening walks after meals and gives you a bit if space from the Party and traffic. Highly recommend this place.

We are a Seattle family. We love our home and consider it an oasis in the city. It is so full of light and so convenient to everything. I am an avid walker and love that I can walk to all the conveniences of a city and also be at the lake and in the arboretum or at volunteer park within minutes. we love to cook and have built our new kitchen with the idea that we would be cooking and sharing laughs and meals in the kitchen most days during the week. We hope you will take as good a care of our precious home as we do.
