Weather issues on our trip from Texas meant we were going to arrive hours after our announced arrival time. Jim was great. G
He offered to cut short his dinner party to greet us whenever we arrived. This didn't seem fair to Jim so we said we would eat dinner before we came to his home. He gave us great advice for a place to eat. When we arrived at his home, he graciously showed us around, offered us additional refreshments and explained his TV, coffee pot, available food and drink, internet, etc. Jim is very well organized and a great host. We would be glad to stay with him on our next trip to Kansas City.
I had a great stay at Jim's place. He was very helpful with any question I had before and during my stay. The entire house was kept tidy and the kitchen was stocked with anything we would need during our stay. He provided my choice of breakfast fixings for me to cook myself or to grab on-the-go. His guidebook has wonderful recommendations for local restaurants and in nice weather there are plenty within walking distance. I will have to come back to try some more great places! It is really a great location, too - very easy access to highways and quick travel times to many parts of Kansas City.
Jim was a welcoming host, the rooms were pretty clean, as well as the bathroom. I was only there late at night and early in the morning. The kitchen was a bit if a hidden mess so I decided to eat out instead of making my own breakfast. He also has a dog which I was unaware of. He also smokes but only in his bedroom. Overall it was an inexpensive place to stay and had the essentials of a place to sleep.
Ivan. You mention you were unaware of a dog being here yet my dog and the pet policy are features covered extensively in the description in my listing page. I'm not sure what a 'bit of a hidden mess' means, but the kitchen is clean and organized to make it more functional for guests. Of the many guests who have stayed with me you are the only one who is of this opinion. The smoking policy is also covered in the listing.
When I reread the message history prior to your stay here I see that I answered over a dozen questions from you, the answers to which were clearly explained in the listing description. Perhaps for your next airbnb stay you should take time to read the listings for places and find one that suits your unique needs. Best Jim
Incredible experience. Jim is a great guy and extremely welcoming. Our best airBnB stay yet!
Stayed here a month and Jim was extremely accommodating. Had a wonderful experience. It is walking/biking distance to KUMC and is a perfect spot for med students. Will keep in contact just in case I visit KC again.
Jim was an above-and-beyond awesome host. And I don't just mean perks like breakfast, coffee and a stocked fruit bowl or that Jim himself is a cheerful, friendly guy. Jim chauffeured my boyfriend and me to AND from the wedding reception we were attending so that we wouldn't have to pay for a cab. His home was pretty and quiet and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. He lives a charming 10 min walk from the 39th street district that contains retro boutiques, brunch spots and more. We will definitely book with Jim again next time we're in town.
Jim is a super guy who is a great host. He is friendly and welcoming. We had a great stay. He gave us goodies to eat and to take home. All the comforts of home.
Jim is a cheerful and accommodating host. He was very flexible about check-in/check-out times which is always appreciated. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Roku with access to Netflix, Hulu Plus, and other streaming content was a nice bonus. We spent quite a bit of time enjoying the swinging bench on his front porch while eating breakfast before heading out for sightseeing each day. I would recommend this rental because of the location and great deal. Thanks!
Jim was incredibly accommodating despite not feeling well. he provided snacks, fruit and coffee. his home is clean and comfortable and just a 10min walk through a shaded neighborhood to the 39th st strip.
It was a smooth and comfortable experience and I certainly recommend a stay!
First of all, Jim is a great host and a great person. He was very flexible with booking, and he is a very nice and welcoming person. Just after our arrival, he lead us to our absolutely clean, comfortable and nicely furnished rooms and the guests private bathroom, and we then had a very enjoyable conversation (he even provided us with cold beer and snacks). He's widely interested and informed, so it is really easy to have a fun discussion with him! Jim surely enjoys having guests, which is also shown by the really low prices at which he is offering accomodation.
His house is beautiful, and if you like reading, you should definitely spend some time in his awesome library.
The neighbourhood is calm and green, and yet in close walking distance to quite a few bars, restaurants etc.
My friend Ramon and I can fully recommend to stay at Jims place and enjoy his hospitality. If we ever go back to Kansas City, we'd want to stay there again :)
