In Montmartre, discover the unique feel of a small village within the city, a relaxed atmosphere, overflows with cafés, restaurants, and several open markets .While the tourists mill about in the over priced faux artists' quarter around the Basilica, real neighbourhood life goes right her in the Rue Lepic and the Rue des Abbesses, where the simple pleasures of shopping for cheese and a bottle of wine can take a whole day. Montmartre has all you need -food shops of every stripe, pavement cafés, bars, clubs, Picasso's first Studio, a cemetery bearing the bones of Truffaut and Zola, and enough restaurants to eat out somewhere different every night for a month. But a a fully stocked kitchen in La Chambre d'Amélie means you can cok yourselves and sit with a nice bottle of wine...

Here is a F.A.Q About the apartment, hope it helps you have a better idea about your future experience with us ;)

1. What is the rental process?
Just select your dates, number of people, and go through with the booking,

2. What would the total be for renting your place between certain dates?
It depends on what you select when you go through the booking (the price should be indicated once you have selected dates and number of people etc on the booking page for the apartment). (cf. #1).

3. Would there be a deposit? If so how much would it be?
Yes there is. AirBnB works like acar rental company. So when you book, you pay your stay and right before you arrival to the apt, Airbnb make a pre approuval of the amount of the deposit on your credit card. This means you dont have anything to may unless a problem arises.
I have never had a problem before, and all of my guests have collected their deposit back.
The Deposit is 200€.

4. Would it accommodate two people?
Definitely. Two people would be most comfortable in the apartment :).
Four people can stay very comfortably in the apartment, as there is a sofa bed in the living room.

5. Do you have Internet access?
Yes. There is WiFi Access.

6. Is this a secure building?
It is a very safe building and a very safe neighbohood. Yet you have to be aware as in every big cities where pick pockets abound.
The street door requires a code to get in. and the building door does too.

7. What time do we have to check in and check out?
Normally, the checkin is at 14h (or later, you can come as late as you want) and chekout is at 11h (or earlier, you can leave as early as you like), so I have time between guests to preparet the house. But if there are no guests coming and my schedule allows me, these times can be flexible (meaning, you could come earlier or leave later). I am very flexible and always looking to accomodate my guests to the best of my ability. I can arrange also a lugagge storage for your convinience. The only restriction to my flexibility is if guests before/after you have arrive at the required hour... then you have to leave at "your" normal check-out hour so that the housekeeper can do their job and make the place perfect again for my next guest.

8. Are you close to pubic transportation?
Very close!
You have a metro station less than 30m away walking.
Gare de l'Est, Gare du Nord and Gare Saint-Lazare are very close.

9. Is there grocery shopping/ cafés near your place?
There is everything you can dream of nearby.
Departments Stors like Galeries Lafayette and Printemps (french equivalent of Bloomingdale's, Macy's or Harrod's), are just down the street (15 minutes walk or 7mn by bus). The Rue Lepic has always been a very commercial street, so you will find numerous bakeries, cheese stores, Olive Oil strore, butcher's boutiques, etc.
There are heaps of Cafés and restaurants nearby, including my personal favorite for morning coffees and afternoon teas: "Le Café des Deux Moulins", where Amélie de Montmartre was shot, just down the street from the apartment.

10. Is parking available?
No. However a parking lot is at less at 5mn walk from the flat. Lots of parking both in our street, as well as in the surrounding streets are available, but public parking in the street is quite busy.

11. Do you have a washing machine?
No Washing machine, however you have a laundrette just around the corner.

12. Is there anything we should know about your place?
It's very comfy, very well designed, fully equipped. In short, it is the ideal base-camp for a wonderful Paris experience!

13. Is bed linen and towels provided?
Yes. Beds are ready and freshly prepared for your arrival and towels are provided for each guest.

  • We had a great stay at Federico's appartment. The place is spacious, in great shape, and can accomodate two friends, a couple, or a small family. It's very well located, very close to Blanche Metro station, supermarkets and bakeries (the one up the hill on Rue Lepic - where it turns left - has better Croissants than the one next door ;-)). I can recommend Federico's place to anyone who wants to spend a truly Parisian weekend in Montmartre!

  • Fantastic apartment. Came over to watch France v Ireland - had a great weekend.
The apartment is literally 5 metres from Moulin rouge. Great location.
I could not say enough nice things about the host family, they were fantastic. I will stay here next time I am in Paris for sure.

  • This place is awesome, I went there with my parents (Please note that I am Asian, and Asian parents are usually very fussy ). My parents love this apartment alot, it's clean and comfortable. Location wise, brilliant place to stay. Near to the tourist attraction White Church and Moulin Rouge, there's bus stop and metro station within 2 min walk. If you are taking Eurostar, taking taxi from Paris Nord to this apartment is only around 11 euro. Awesome, highly recommended, and will definitely come again.
Once again thanks Fed, I really really really really love your apartment.

  • Federico was hospitable and a very kind host; he helped us out with a problem right at the beginning, he was very flexible with check-in and check-out time and gave us few hints on places to visit.
The flat is ok, kitchenette worked well, pictures are real, well equipped and wi-fi connection was on and fast.
    Hopefully we'll be back soon.
    Ciao ciao

  • A nice small appartment suited for 2 persons in a nice area with good connections to the rest of Paris.

    October 2013
  • Authentic parisian flat, quiet and cosy, close to metro and moulin rouge it had everything we needed and even more (we were surprised by a cellphone in our room, left for us to use). Federico and his wife are really good and caring hosts. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

  • Federico's little apartment on Rue Lepic in Montmartre is located on a block that is crammed with conveniences, almost like Hong Kong in its variety. The entrance to the building is flanked by an Italian sidewalk/takeaway, next door is Chinese, and within a block there are wine stores, fromageries, fruitiers, patisseries and boulangeries. There are creperies, clothing stories, French restaurants--every palate and every price is perfectly represented. Federico himself is a perfect host; present when needed, otherwise invisible. He provides a cell-phone, which allows for free communication in France. We arrived with an immediate medical problem, which he helped alleviate, and remained concerned for our entire week's stay. The apartment itself is perfect for two, a little crowded for three adults (as we were), but infinitely preferable to a hotel at twice or thrice the cost. Although the street is crowded and noisy with youthful activity, but the bedroom faces a quiet courtyard. Metro station Blanche is just a few feet away and will whisk you anywhere in Paris. Flatscreen TV, wine glasses, juice glasses, plates and bowls all provided. You'll love the experience, and a Paris visit will be enhanced by a stay at La Chambre d'Amelie.

    October 2013
