In Montmartre, discover the unique feel of a small village within the city, a relaxed atmosphere, overflows with cafés, restaurants, and several open markets .While the tourists mill about in the over priced faux artists' quarter around the Basilica, real neighbourhood life goes right her in the Rue Lepic and the Rue des Abbesses, where the simple pleasures of shopping for cheese and a bottle of wine can take a whole day. Montmartre has all you need -food shops of every stripe, pavement cafés, bars, clubs, Picasso's first Studio, a cemetery bearing the bones of Truffaut and Zola, and enough restaurants to eat out somewhere different every night for a month. But a a fully stocked kitchen in La Chambre d'Amélie means you can cook yourselves and sit with a nice bottle of wine...
Here is a F.A.Q About the apartment, hope it helps you have a better idea about your future experience with us ;)
1.What is the rental process?
Just select your dates, number of people, and go through with the booking,
2.What would the total be for renting your place between certain dates?
It depends on what you select when you go through the booking (the price should be indicated once you have selected dates and number of people etc on the booking page for the apartment). (cf. #1).
3.Would there be a deposit? If so how much would it be?
Yes there is. AirBnB works like acar rental company. So when you book, you pay your stay and right before you arrival to the apt, Airbnb make a pre approuval of the amount of the deposit on your credit card. This means you dont have anything to may unless a problem arises.
I have never had a problem before, and all of my guests have collected their deposit back.
The Deposit is 200€.
4.Would it accommodate two people?
Definitely. Two people would be most comfortable in the apartment :).
Four people can stay very comfortably in the apartment, as there is a sofa bed in the living room.
5.Do you have Internet access?
Yes. There is WiFi Access.
6.Is this a secure building?
It is a very safe building and a very safe neighbohood. Yet you have to be aware as in every big cities where pick pockets abound.
The street door requires a code to get in. and the building door does too.
7.What time do we have to check in and check out?
Normally, the checkin is at 14h (or later, you can come as late as you want) and chekout is at 11h (or earlier, you can leave as early as you like), so I have time between guests to preparet the house. But if there are no guests coming and my schedule allows me, these times can be flexible (meaning, you could come earlier or leave later). I am very flexible and always looking to accomodate my guests to the best of my ability. I can arrange also a lugagge storage for your convinience. The only restriction to my flexibility is if guests before/after you have arrive at the required hour... then you have to leave at "your" normal check-out hour so that the housekeeper can do their job and make the place perfect again for my next guest.
8.Are you close to pubic transportation?
You have a metro station less than 30m away walking.
Gare de l'Est, Gare du Nord and Gare Saint-Lazare are very close.
9.Is there grocery shopping/ cafés near your place?
There is everything you can dream of nearby.
Departments Stors like Galeries Lafayette and Printemps (french equivalent of Bloomingdale's, Macy's or Harrod's), are just down the street (15 minutes walk or 7mn by bus). The Rue Lepic has always been a very commercial street, so you will find numerous bakeries, cheese stores, Olive Oil strore, butcher's boutiques, etc.
There are heaps of Cafés and restaurants nearby, including my personal favorite for morning coffees and afternoon teas: "Le Café des Deux Moulins", where Amélie de Montmartre was shot, just down the street from the apartment.
10.Is parking available?
No. However a parking lot is at less at 5mn walk from the flat. Lots of parking both in our street, as well as in the surrounding streets are available, but public parking in the street is quite busy.
11.Do you have a washing machine?
No Washing machine, however you have a laundrette just around the corner.

It's very comfy, very well designed, fully equipped. In short, it is the ideal base-camp for a wonderful Paris experience!

Yes. Beds are ready and freshly prepared for your arrival and towels are provided for each guest.
You will get access to your self catering home in the fabulous district of Montmartre.
