About the area:
The area is beautiful and offers a wealth of opportunities enjoy the outdoors! Onsite are 38 acres of hiking trails which you will have exclusive use of. As a perk for booking through AirBnB, I would be happy to provide a 1.5 hour guided hike or program by one of our naturalists for you and your group at no additional cost.
Nearby is the Black Earth Creek, which is one of the top 100 trout streams in North America. Strong populations of naturally reproducing German Brown and Rainbow Trout each year attract hundreds of fly and spin-fishing enthusiasts. Yet the stream is long enough that there is plenty of room, even on the busiest days.
For those who prefer bigger water, the Wisconsin River borders the Wisconsin Heights area on the north. The river contains virtually every species of fish there is in Wisconsin, everything from the feisty-but-tasty bluegill to the prehistoric sturgeon, Wisconsin’s largest inland game fish.
There are a number of boat landings in the region: most popular in the Wisconsin Heights Area is the Town of Mazomanie landing off of CTH Y.
In addition, the river runs along the spacious Mazomanie Wildlife Refuge. Hiking, off-road biking and four-wheeling are also popular activities in the region. Several beaches can be found along the river as well, and canoeing, boating and jet-skiing are also popular.

The place was huge and well maintained. Tons of land all around you. Had all the linens and cooking stuff. Don't need to bring anything.
I and 11 other friends rented the lodge for one night in March and it was perfect. The lodge is huge and beautiful– plenty of beds and a large open living room with a stunning fireplace. It's even got four picnic tables on the back porch– perfect for group meals! I can't wait to come back in the summer!
Beautiful rustic cabin that fit 12 individuals very comfortably. Peaceful and private setting which was wonderful for a friends get-away weekend. We loved the nearby fire pit which everyone fit around. The manager was wonderful and very responsive to all my many questions. There was some confusion around which day we were supposed to check in, but it ended up being no big deal. We booked early so i probably should have confirmed the day before. We will def go back.
