Looking for an oasis of tropical color and comfort? You’ve come to the right place. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be relaxing poolside under a canopy of blooming bougainvilleas safe under the watchful gaze of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Casa Guadalupe is a two bedroom, 2 bathroom house that comes equipped with a perfect blend of old and new to make you feel at home in Mexico. Comfort abounds throughout whether you’re swinging in the hammock or dining al fresco on your outdoor patio.
The kitchen and bedrooms open to a tropical garden, letting in fresh air and light. When you need to cool off, you and your freshly minted mojito are just steps away from a dip in your own private pool. Back inside, Mexican trinkets, art and a collection of reading materials and games will keep you entertained for hours.
Ready to leave the house? Casa Guadalupe is perfectly situated in the heart of Merida. You’re just 3.5 blocks from the base of Paseo de Montejo, Merida’s grand boulevard, where on Saturday night, you can enjoy live traditional dance and local street food.
Stroll north along Paseo de Montejo to feast on stunning mansions and delicious sorbet from Dulceria y Sorbeteria Colon. Or walk south to the Plaza Principal for Colonial era cathedrals, palaces, modern streetlife and more.
A bit peckish and itching for some local fare? Head four blocks to Santa Ana market for an order of the best panuchos in town - hand-made tortillas stuffed with black beans and topped with turkey and salad. Wash it down with a fresh fruit licuado (think mango smoothies) and it’ll be the best 50 pesos you spend all day.
Bus like a local with stops just 5 blocks away that will take you to the air-conditioned shopping malls north of the city and beyond. Looking for a day on the beach? Walk two more blocks and catch a bus to Progreso where you’ll find yourself beachside sipping margaritas and eating fresh ceviches.

This beautiful home did not disappoint!!!! The pictures depict the exact look of the home, with tall ceilings, big rooms, an amazing bathroom, and paradise in the back courtyard. Though the street could get a bit noisy at certain times of the day, we never heard the traffic while inside or while relaxing at the back of the home. The pool was the perfect treat mid afternoon after exploring the hot city, and refreshed us to head out again for evening dining and entertainment in city Centro. The neighborhood was centrally located and we found it easy to get around the beautiful White City. Irving, our concierge from Remixto, was very helpful. He met us at the door upon our arrival and gave us great tips for exploring and eating. He was available to us throughout our stay, and was very gracious when it was time for us to check out. As we toured city Centro, we were thankful that we chose this home as opposed to one of the highly advertised hotels. Thank you for opening your home to our family. Our family had a true Mexican experience, and we will continue to remember this for years to come.
My husband, our one-year-old, my sister and her fiancé stayed at Casa Guadalupe during Semana Santa and it was perfect for our family. Despite the heat outside (we visited during one of the hottest times of the year), the high ceilings, fans in every room and cool dipping pool kept everyone refreshed during the midday swelter. We didn't use the A/C at all. The home is well located within walking distance to the historic center with tiendas and supermarkets nearby. Stanley and the Remixto crew were welcoming, helpful and thorough. We were greeted in person, given a very detailed tour of the home and left with maps and recommendations for everything from massage to the closest local tienda with ice-cold beers. We rented a car for a few days, visiting Mayan ruins and swimming in nearby cenotes in the morning. In the afternoon we'd return to the casa, and while the baby napped the adults would relax in the pool with cocktails and a good book. A perfect spring break!
Stanley responded quickly and thoughtfully to our request to stay at this lovely home. Irving, the concierge, was easy to communicate with, responded quickly to any requests/needs and answered my countless questions thoroughly each time. Even the cleaning woman was sweet and attentive, offering to grab us water from the store as we did not have a car. Each person we interacted with was kind and thoughtful and helpful.
The home is just as pictured. We appreciated having a full kitchen, as we are vegan and found food options a bit challenging in Merida. We even had the opportunity to have a home cooked meal of our choosing delivered as well as a masseuse come to our home! It seems that the owners really thought of everything.
What we appreciated most was having the privacy of staying in our own home with the convenience of a concierge and team to assist us with al of our comforts.
The location is perfect as we just as easily walked to the Paseo Montejo as we did to the central core of Merida. We would definitely stay here again.
Case Guadalupe just made or time in Merida! Had everything we needed And felt like home. Irving was great answered my many questions. We even had a cook come and take us to the markets and prepare lunch, esta deliciousa :)
Casa Guadalupe is a beautiful home, just as pictured in this site. Actually the house is huge and very comfy. It has ACs only in the bedrooms but fans everywhere. The two rooms have a queen bed each and the living room has a pull out bed that can fit another two people. All together we were 3 adults, 2 kids.
The house is well equipped for any cooking needs you may have, with a huge stove and oven, microwave, fridge and even a toaster oven. You also have access to the clothes washer, which is great. The patio is beautiful for hanging out if there are no mosquitos.
The house has some basic cooking needs such as sugar, salt, oils, etc. We were even greeted with fruit on a basket, which as a very nice touch.
The neighborhood is quiet and it has a few convenience stores nearby for your immediate need. You can even shop at the local mercado (market) for fruits, veggies, spices and meats. The well-known Paseo Montejo (fancy and wide street three blocks away) is nearby and it's a nice stroll with some beautiful artisan homes.
You can safely park on the street if you are driving your own car (rental).
Irving, our concierge, was wonderful and extremely accommodating on every request. He was also ultra responsive via phone, emails or texts.
We are very happy that we chose to stay at Casa Guadalupe. It's exactly as pictured - spacious, a bit rustic, cool vintage vibe to the tiles, walls, etc. The house was pretty tricky to find initially as the street numbering system takes some getting used to, but once we came at the street off the Paseo Montejo we were fine. Street parking was no problem at all, we found a spot directly in front of the house all week. It was great to have such a nice kitchen and we took full advantage of preparing our meals there, we even grilled outside one night. If you go, don't buy any sugar until you check the freezer. We bought sugar, as I'm sure every guest has, and the freezer is full of bags of sugar.
The house is all on one level (except the roof area obviously) so it made it very easy for our parents with mobility problems. They were able to get around with no problems. They also enjoyed a dip in the lap pool, but it was far to chilly for me!
The concierge Cynthia was a godsend. She helped us throughout the stay, and was always super responsive, even during her non-working hours.
The communication from Stanley and his team was always spot on - from the first inquiry until meeting Stanley in person for the check out. I learned a few things from his organization!
I can't wait to go back to Merida and try another of Stanley's places!
Lovely house and an oasis of calm. Stanley made us very welcome and was very helpful.
