Come to see us in our cool and cozy apartment downtown. It comfortably fits five and is centrally located, so you can go everywhere on foot. Don't worry about noisy street or rushed crowd, our apartment is very quite. We are waiting for you!
The apartment is situated in a very charming ancient building dating back to the 18th century. It is on the 5th floor, with a lift that will take you up to the fourth floor, and then a short flight of stairs, of only 13 steps, will lead you to the apartment. The building is located right in the historical center of the city, and this will allow you to reach all places of cultural and touristic interest on foot. Just a few steps away from the doorway is one of the most famous symbols of the eternal city: the Trevi fountain, which could enchant you all day. The district is well served by public transportation, both day and night, the bus stops being just a few steps from the building, while the subway stop “Barberini” is 300 meters away. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable holiday , as well as a period of work or study. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with traditional oven, microwave oven and dishwasher. The apartment is also supplied with a washing machine, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. It is a rather silent apartment because the windows overlook on an internal yard, while the neighborhood is extremely lively and characteristic, being a pedestrian area in the heart of ancient Rome. You will find plenty of restaurants, pizzerias, typical local shops, and you will enjoy walking around leisurely and in safety, both in night and in the daytime.
Being in the heart of Rome’s historical center, the apartment is in an absolutely strategic position: a 5-minute walk from Spanish Steps and Quirinale, 10 minutes from Piazza del Popolo, Via Veneto, Foro Romano, 15 minutes from Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori, Colosseo and Villa Borghese, and 20 minutes from the Vatican. And if you don’t want to walk, you will find bus stops just a few steps from your front door, as well as the metro station (line A) 300 meters away. This will allow you to choose on every occasion whether to use public transport or walk. If you come by car, instead, there is a convenient Parking lot, with a fee, only 50 meters away from the building. It is important to say that the apartment is in a limited-driving area: cars are allowed from 6 p.m. to 6.30 a.m. from Monday to Friday, while on Saturdays access is forbidden from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (on Sundays the traffic is allowed the whole day). A few steps from the apartment, you will find the Tourist Information Bureau, a market, supermarket, Post Office, Internet Point, bank, restaurants, etc. If you wish, we will recommend you one of the best sliced pizza in Rome, just around the corner, as well as an amazing ice-cream shop. And for those who love shopping, you will find at walking distance one of the most outstanding shopping streets in Rome: Via Condotti.

Cristina met my husband when he arrived early and let him bring his bags in before he headed to the airport for the rest of us. The apartment was clean and had all the basic things in the kitchen that we needed for cooking. The coffee maker doesn't really work, but try using the espresso pot. We made great cappuccinos with it. We found groceries easily, nearby. My daughter loved the futon bed and said it was very comfortable, and we slept well too. The dishwasher and washing machine were helpful as well. Location is great (the fountain is under renovation, but there's so much to see nearby). We loved Rome in January, with short-to-no lines for anything, weather in the fifties and sunny, and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables to be found even in winter. We even found quite a bit of gluten free pasta and other items in Rome, to our surprise. Christmas lights were still strung up everywhere and nativity scenes were still out at all the churches. We would come back again in January, and stay at this same apartment. Thanks, Cristina!
Stayed 5 days in the apartment. Carolina waited for us in the apmt & showed us everything we need to know. The heating is gd as winter has set in & it's really cold now. All the necessary accessories were there including the washing liquid for clothes. Host was very thoughtful to provide a clothes rack with heater so our washings could dry pretty fast.
Best of all the location is fantastic.
The pillows are too used & need replacement. Will recommend to friends. Thanks for everything, Cristina.
Cristina set up a cab to pick up from the airport and was everything as planned. Cristina's friend, Carolina met us at the apartment, explaining all the details and even giving us a bottle of wine to celebrate our first night in Rome! During our stay, Cristina responded very quickly to our e-mails. The apartment is bigger than we imagined and could easily fit 4 people. The location is spectacular, right by the Trevi Fountain. You can easily walk through all the historical center and get to the main tourists places by foot. We would definitely stay at this apartment again! Thanks Cristina!!
Cristina's friend Carolina was there to welcome us when we arrived at 9.45 pm, about 15 minutes earlier than we anticipated. We took the 85 bus from the Termini bus station, but working out exactly where to alight in the dark was not that easy. On return the airport we walked to Barberini metro station and would use that route again, in preference to the bus.
The apartment was exactly as described, with a comfortable bed, good bathroom and well-equipped kitchen. There is plenty of room for two people. The apartment is on the fifth floor of the building, with a lift to the fourth. It's at the back, so away from the hustle and bustle of the street - a haven of peace.
A small but well-stocked coop supermarket is a few minutes walk away, and there are endless dining opportunities at a range of prices within a very small radius. As billed, the Trevi fountain is almost outside the front door, but is largely obscured by scaffolding whilst it is being renovated.
A previous review mentioned that there were street traders camped out at the front door. Whilst we found that was often the case it never caused any inconvenience. Street traders are simply a fact of life throughout the touristy areas of the city.
The location puts most of the sights within walking range. Our walking took us as far as the Colosseum and Palatine areas in one direction, and the Piazza del Popoli and Museo del Arte Moderna in the others. We took the metro from Barberini to the Vatican museums only because it facilitated a 9 am entry - walking back was easy.
Location, location, location! Steps from food, shopping, sites.....close enough to walk to Colesseum, Spanish Steps and Palatine Hill, and more food! Christine was a wonderful host, met us quickly even when we arrived earlier, helped us with taxi service and just good general knowledge. We are a family of 4 and this apartment gave us a wonderful home spot for our time in Rome. Glad the elevator was working, even if it only fit 2 at a time:) Would recommend Christine's apartment to anyone looking to visit the "heart' of Rome.
Cristina arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport, and her friend Carolina welcomed us in the apartment. It all worked very smoothly and gave us a good start on our Roman holiday.
The location is exceptional, it is very close to Trevi fountain, very central to many key areas.
The apartment works well. It has a decent sized bedroom with double bed, and a double sofa bed in the living room. It was a bit small for four people, it is lots of space for a couple.
The kitchen is enough for basic needs, and the hosts had left basics such as oil and spices which was nice. The building has a small elevator. This is nice when you don't want to walk all six floors. Being on the top floor gives you lots of fresh air. Windows are to the back, no great views, but neither the noise from streets.
Cristina's apartment is absolutely the best. We didn't meet Cristina in person but Carolina let us in and made sure we knew how everything worked. She also explained where to find the supermarket and bakery. We had booked the apartment due to it's location and although it is a busy area, the apartment is very quiet. Cristina's apartment is spotlessly clean and everything we needed was available plus we had no difficulty with the shower as some previous people had. The bed is extremely comfortable and we could sleep with the doors and windows open at night while feeling secure.
Cristina was easily contacted and was able to give us advice on the nearest hair salon. There are two food markets within 5 minutes walk and countless cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Cristina's apartment and we would return in a heartbeat. We miss Roma already.
