  • Great location with great amenities. People that are not used to urban living might be distracted by the noise.

  • Jim was an excellent host. His place was in the perfect location. We walked everywhere and any cabs we took to downtown or the east side were very cheap. The place was clean and the bed and couch were very comfortable. He even had a HDMI cable to hook up my computer through the television to watch movies etc. Jim also brought by a fabulous dessert from whole foods. Couldn't of asked for a better host. I highly recommend staying at Jim's place.

  • Jim was a great host who greeted me with fresh-baked cookies and also emailed me a list of Austin's hot spots, many of which were located within walking distance of his conveniently-located South Congress condo. The space was clean and quiet, and parking and wi-fi are both free. I'm so glad I opted for Jim's space in Airbnb over a hotel. Thanks, Jim!

  • My boyfriend and I had already rented a place post camping trip, only to find out it had been flooded over the weekend. I was working fast to secure another spot to our liking, and Jim got back to me in no time that he could rent out his place to us for 3 nights! We really enjoyed our stay. We slept wonderfully, enjoyed the patio, and walked around on S. Congress for dinner and fun. We ended up enjoying our stay so much that we asked Jim if we could rent it out for one more night, which he was happy to accommodate to. Jim as a host was very polite and sent us an email with recommendations of local eateries (Magnolia Cafe, can you say 24 hours and YUM!). Would definitely stay here again!

  • JIm is AWESOME! He left work in th middle of the day to get us checked in and show us th building, and then consistently checked on us ot make sure we were doing great. He even left us a delicious fruit tart as a welcome gift!!! We had one problem where I clogged the sink by accident and Jim was so responsive about coming over to help if necessary and fix anything that we needed. There was also a torando that canceled both of our flights at the last minute - what was a potentially stressful situation then became easy and fun, as Jim was so kind and easily accomodated us for another day. My friend and I loved his place - it's the perfect size for a couple (or a couple of bff's like us), it's next to everything cool and is just short cab rides to other cool locations. We are already planning our next trip and almost wanted to be selfish and not share the gospel on how awesome Jim and his place are so that we can keep it to ourselves (LOL), but....have to pay it forward. If you can get this place, stay here -- just not when we want to!

  • Our host Jim was great!
    - He sent us a PDF listing all the places and things to do close to the apartment.
    - He greeted us with home-baked cookies!
    - We had a slight problem with the air conditioner but he was reachable, and resolved it quickly.
    - He gave us very clear instructions on where to meet him, how to handle parking.

Jim's apartment was a great deal for the money, and it did not disappoint in any way:
    - The apartment was spotless and comfortable. It was tastefully and sparingly furnished, as much as you would expect for the amount you're paying per night.
    - The bed was very comfortable with plenty of sheets, pillows comforter, etc.
    - There were plenty of convenient amenities in the kitchen such as plates, silverware, tupperware etc. Enough cleaning supplies were available.
    - That couch is super comfortable!
    - The TV sufficed for our needs; after all, we were on vacation and didn't use it much, except to pull up Netflix for maybe half-hour at night.

  • The host, Jim, was very accommodating and responsive. He checked on us each day via email and even left us fresh chocolate chip cookies. A friend and I headed to Austin for a music festival needed simple accommodations with good access to cabs and food options. The condo is between a classic diner and a good deal of trendy shops and bars. As a result, we were not at a loss for evening post-music activity.

The condo was clean, comfortable, and low-key. Would definitely recommend it for people who want to experience Austin for the first time.
