In a little quite village, an ancient house with 4 separate rooms, a littel pool in the house court and 2 terrace for your rest.
Nestled in the lovely historic centre of Muro Leccese, a small ancient town located 15 km from Otranto and Castro Marina, this typical Salento house includes 4 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with showers, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining-living room, a patio courtyard with masonry seats and a small pool, and a terrace with cushioned seats.
The unit is characterized by a flexible layout and is organized on a series of floors with three communicating terraces. All the outdoor areas are equipped with Lecce stone masonry seats, lounge chairs and sun umbrellas. The rooftop terrace offers a breathtaking view over the old town, with its beautiful main square and two baroque churches.
Another distinctive feature of this house is a small masonry pool carved out of an old outdoor cavity which once was the toilet. It is over two metres deep and includes a powerful jet on the side, requiring minimum maintenance and is a great way to cool down on hot days.
The entrance hall opens into a large living room, a vestibule leading to a double bedroom and a bathroom, and to the patio. The latter, which is the heart of the house, opens into a large kitchen with a fireplace and a high barrel-vaulted ceiling, a double bedroom and a stone staircase leading to the upper floor terraces.
The bedrooms are independent, located on two different floors of the house, providing ideal privacy. Only two rooms, a double and a twin bedroom (the latter can accomodate a third person thanks to a small mezzanine with an extra bed) communicate with each other and share a common bathroom, thus offering an ideal solution for families with small children. Both rooms are very spacious and have high star-vaulted ceilings. The master bedroom, with a fireplace and an ensuite bathroom, is on the first floor and opens into one of the three terraces of the house. The other double bedroom is located near the entrance hall. The living room is very large, with a barrel-vaulted ceiling and a large wall in Lecce stone; next comes the dining room with a long wooden ‘fratino’ table for 8/10 people, high vaulted ceilings and a Lecce stone wall. It leads to a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, cooktop, oven, dishwasher) with a table for 6/8 people and a large old Lecce stone fireplace for great barbecues.
The layout of the bedrooms offers ideal accomodation either for one or two families with children, or for couples wishing to share the location without sacrificing their privacy.

We absolutely adored the house in Muro Leccese; very spacious, beautifully designed and furnished, and amazing terraces and roof top areas to relax and enjoy views of the town. It had everything we needed. Stefania was helpful and responded to any questions we had. Muro Leccese is a beautiful, quaint town off the beaten track, 20 min drive to gorgeous beaches, and the house and town are a great spot to relax.
