We really enjoyed this lovely house! We loved the fact that it had been restored to its original beautiful design and it was comfortable for today's guest. The location was amazing, too. We were steps away from restaurants, banks, drugstores, and a large grocery store. We were also able to take the trolley anywhere we needed to go. Kurt and Erika couldn't have been nicer!
We would definitely recommended this house to anyone looking to go to New Orleans for a stay. We would rent it again.
Erika and Kurt were very attentive and very friendly with us, we really felt welcomed and confortable, just like at home!
The house is very nice, tastefully arranged, comfortable and convenient. It's only 2 steps from Canal street and in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. This has contributed greatly to the success of our stay.
We can definitely recommend and advise to stay at Kurt & Erika's place for those who want to immerse themselves in the New Orleans's way of life!
This is a great place to rent if you want to see New Orleans. We, very comfortably, had 3 couples in the house. My wife is pregnant so we had the one with the attached bathroom and the other 2 couples each had their own bedroom and shared a bathroom. The house is beautiful and has a lot of character. Wifi, cable tv, laundry was all at our disposal. The location is perfect since you can easily hop on the street car which is just a block away and head to the french quarter .
The neighborhood itself is really great too. There are bars and restaurants right around the corner and plenty more that are easily walkable. The two grocery stores nearby are an extra comfort allowing you to make some meals at home as well.
I would highly recommend this location to anyone that wants to experience New Orleans.
What a lovely house and wonderful hosts! We were in New Orleans to spend time with family over the holidays and we could not have asked for a better house, location or host. The house was spacious, clean and welcoming. Kurt and Erika did everything possible to make our stay homey and comfortable. When there was an issue with the wifi they responded immediately and it was taken care of within hours. The three bedrooms are large and spacious. The beds were super comfortable. The linens provided are top-rate and the bathrooms were great. The kitchen was well-equipped and stocked. The street car is a couple minutes walk away as are stores, restaurants, cafes and a pharmacy. We fell in love with the area and the house and will definitely stay there again when we are back in town. We were 6 adults (2 parents and 4 older children) and we were very comfortable. Great hosts, great house, great location! You won't regret booking this place!
Every aspect of the Buchert home met or exceeded our expectations. Location is outstanding if you'd prefer to avoid the French Quarter chaos....one block from the Carrollton St streetcar to get to the Jazzfest Fairgrounds and one block from the Canal St streetcar to get to the Quarter. The home is clean, comfortable and well-equipped for guests. There are a host of restaurants within walking distance and even a Walgreens and a Rouse's Grocery Store. The neighborhood is very quiet. While Kurt and Erica were out of town during most of our stay, they were always very responsive to questions and provided good advice regarding restaurants and yoga studios. This worked out great for our party of five but with a little flexibility, some imagination and perhaps an inflatable mattress it could handle seven...perhaps more if with young kids. Overall, we would consider ourselves quite satisfied !
New Orleanian, recently married, own a real estate business, love LSU & the New Orleans Saints. I speak English, conversational in Spanish, & very poor Portuguese. I'm laid back, love to travel...especially to Latin America.
