PLEASE CHECK the CALENDAR for availability and pricing. My flatmate and I travel quite a bit so there are three possibilities.
1. If both of us are gone, the whole apartment is available. ($150 per night)
2. If one of us is gone, 1 private bedroom with a queen bed is available in addition to the living room ($95 per night)
3. If both of us are here (most of the time), the living room with a large couch and air mattress are available ($80 per night)
The prices will reflect the differences. We also take a lot of last minute trips so there's a chance that you may have a bedroom even if you booked for the living room. Feel free to inquire!
*Given that my flatmate and I are both young, sometimes come home late, the place is probably not suitable for families (parents, children).
My housemate Mak and I are super international and would prefer younger people around our age who are like minded. open and fun. We may invite you to parties, have you come out with us, explore a local side of DC.
Our home is your home! Help yourself to anything in the fridge and open bottles we have.
Interaction with Guests
We love making our guests feel at home. If time and opportunity permits, we're happy to invite them to local activities, parties, etc.
The neighborhood is very charming as no two homes are exactly alike. There's easy access to Rock Creek Park which has great nature trails and it is next door to Kalorama Park. The area was built during the Roaring 20's so all the homes are quite interesting and beautiful. 18th St one block away is a center of restaurants, nightlife, and activities.
DC is a compact, walking friendly city. You can walk to the White House in less than 30 minutes, most of it downhill. The L2 and 43 buses take you right by the White House in about 10 minutes, while the 42 can take you all the way to Metro Center. The house is located halfway between the Dupont Circle and Woodley Park metro stations and there are 3 Bikeshare stations within 3 blocks.
We are super laid back and friendly. Please keep things clean and leave your shoes outside. There's a 2year old baby who lives downstairs so please keep it quiet after 10PM on weekdays and 12AM on weekends. If you smoke, please do so outside on the patio. Please help yourself to anything in the fridge or any open bottles on the counter.
Joe was a great host. The apartment is conveniently located with plenty of great food nearby.
Joe and Mac were very friendly and pleasant. They gave great suggestions on food and were very welcoming.
Excellent place to stay. Right in the middle of town, in a safe area, and with hosts that make you feel like you are part of the community. Would recommend it to young professionals.
Yes I felt very welcome. I was pretty busy most of the time so just met in the evenings. I guess one roommate or the other is always travelling for work so the place is pretty quiet and chill. I really like to have access to a fridge/kitchen and the decor was tasty. I would stay here again.
The hosts were welcoming and professional. The apartment was clean. The couch and bedding were comfortable enough. The cost was reasonable in comparison to downtown hotels. Parking in this neighborhood is difficult at best, with spots hard to find for several blocks in all directions and metered from 7AM close to the main streets or permit only on the side streets. Being able to stay here rather than at the Fairfax Hotel a few block away saved me several hundred $, worth it, even considering the slight hassle over parking.
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
