PLEASE CHECK the CALENDAR for availability and pricing. My flatmate and I travel quite a bit so there are three possibilities.
1. If both of us are gone, the whole apartment is available. ($200 per night)
2. If one of us is gone, 1 private bedroom with a queen bed is available in addition to the living room ($100 per night)
3. If both of us are here (most of the time), the living room with a large couch is available ($80 per night)
The prices will reflect the differences. We also take a lot of last minute trips so there's a chance that you may have a bedroom even if you booked for the living room. Feel free to inquire!
*Given that my flatmate and I are both young, sometimes come home late, the place is probably not suitable for families (parents, children).
My housemate Mak and I are super international and would prefer younger people around our age who are like minded. open and fun. We may invite you to parties, have you come out with us, explore a local side of DC.
Our home is your home! Help yourself to anything in the fridge and open bottles we have.
Interaction with Guests
We love making our guests feel at home. If time and opportunity permits, we're happy to invite them to local activities, parties, etc.
The neighborhood is very charming as no two homes are exactly alike. There's easy access to Rock Creek Park which has great nature trails and it is next door to Kalorama Park. The area was built during the Roaring 20's so all the homes are quite interesting and beautiful. 18th St one block away is a center of restaurants, nightlife, and activities.
DC is a compact, walking friendly city. You can walk to the White House in less than 30 minutes, most of it downhill. The L2 and 43 buses take you right by the White House in about 10 minutes, while the 42 can take you all the way to Metro Center. The house is located halfway between the Dupont Circle and Woodley Park metro stations and there are 3 Bikeshare stations within 3 blocks.
We are super laid back and friendly. Please keep things clean and leave your shoes outside. There's a 2year old baby who lives downstairs so please keep it quiet after 10PM on weekdays and 12AM on weekends. If you smoke, please do so outside on the patio. Please help yourself to anything in the fridge or any open bottles on the counter.
Comfortable couch with lots of interesting development, social commentary and current event books to read.
Joe was very accommodating and his place was great! Super clean, nice roommate, very welcoming, easy, efficient and the location is hard to beat... right in between Adams Morgan which has tons of great restaurants and bars and also not far from U Street which is one of my favorite areas in the city.
Joe was a great host. The apartment is conveniently located with plenty of great food nearby.
Joe was a great host, super friendly and very thoughtful!
Joe and Mac were very friendly and pleasant. They gave great suggestions on food and were very welcoming.
Yes I felt very welcome. I was pretty busy most of the time so just met in the evenings. I guess one roommate or the other is always travelling for work so the place is pretty quiet and chill. I really like to have access to a fridge/kitchen and the decor was tasty. I would stay here again.
Incredible delicious and affordable Eritrean food with warm service. A family owned gem and a cuisine fairly unique to Washington. Don't miss it!
