This is a completely private, open floor plan , minimal aesthetic studio with private entrance in the Inner Richmond of San Francisco, near Golden Gate Park with a new and full/complete kitchen (Vintage refurbished gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, new fridge, , etc), outdoor semi private deck with table/chairs, sleeping nook with Temperpedic queen size bed, bathroom with glass tiles/two shower heads. Stained concrete floors with small carpets.... The apartment is approx. 450 sq. ft. Very quiet; wake up with the birds!
Our street is relatively quiet; the general neighborhood is ethnically, economically diverse. And with it's proximity to Golden Gate Park , it is excellent for biking, running, walking, surfing, tennis boating ; great restaurants and markets and bars. And the Beach is only a few minutes away....
There are bike rental shops nearby, few minutes walk...So if you're visiting and don't want to give up your "workout," this is a great option...... There is also a yoga studio 2 blocks away and about three others within 15 minute walk...Geary and Clement Street, just a couple blocks away have a wide array of restaurants, bars, cafes and markets.
Farmer's Market on Sundays, Inner Richmond (15 minute) walk and Inner Sunset (15 minute walk).
There are many restaurants -- Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Turkish, French, Hawaiian, Malaysian, Indian, Vegetarian, Italian, Russian within a few minutes walk. And( i think ) the best sushi restaurant in the City is four blocks away, it is very difficult to get in to but that's another story.. Also many restaurants deliver if you want to stay in.. Small markets and supermarkets in short walking distance..Clement Street finally has a mostly organic market…
The Richmond has all kinds of folks, all ages and ethnicities, sexual persuasions, professions, etc....and although it is not "hip" it IS pretty cool...

This apartment as stated aboe is well suited for one person or two friends or a couple….
It has an open floor plan, which means there are no walls (except for the bathroom) ; if you intend to share with another person, you will need to be very comfortable, as there will be little privacy ; i.e. changing clothes -- (the bathroom has a door, though it is beveled glass.)...
(Cell providers: Verizon, TMobile, Metro work fine in the apt. AT&T does not work so well in the apartment or the neighborhood in general. If you have ATT and a computer, (website hidden) is a good alternative.
Note Re: Photographs: (They were taken by Airbnb, i did not take these photos).. .The apartment is NOT bright and sunny as pictured .The front door to the apartment has a frosted window; there are two small windows and glass french doors to the backyard, so while it is not "dark," it is quite subdued,.And two airbnb guests have described the apartment as somewhat "dark." With the lighting ON in the apartment, it does look naturally light to bright. And as noted above, it's about 450 sq. ft; may look larger to some in photos taken by Airbnb. (?).
Parking: The street has permit parking however the adjacent streets do not and the parking rules are more relaxed.
Check in/Check Out:.
This is flexible. I try to accommodate guests so that when they arrive, they can check in anytime or check out anytime that is convenient, i.e. flights, etc..However, if you want to check out between 5-11pm, I will charge an additional $75.00 for the day.
PLEASE UPON RSVP CONFIRMATION:
Please let me know in a message after we've confirmed,
1. APPROXIMATELY what time you want to check in and please specify a.m or p.m.
2. APPROXIMATELY what time you want to check out
.(This is useful in so far as i can schedule cleaning after each guest leaves..and the next person arrives.)
It has happened that guests have arrived earlier than they anticipated, and if this should be the case, please let me know as soon as possible...Usually this is fine, except if there is a cleaning scheduled....in this case, I would suggest you can drop off your belongings and return....

We can really recommend Lauries place!
The studio was as described, cozy, comfortable and private. Very close to Golden Gate Park, which was perfect for us, traveling as a family with an 18 months old child. The neighborhood is quiet but still very central. Really just great..
Laurie was an excellent host. We had our privacy, but didn't feel alone. She went out of her way to meet us although we arrived earlier than expected and was very helpful. She has made an excellent folder explaining all the practicalities concerning the use of the place and also great tips about where to shop, dine and hang out in the neighborhood.
We would gladly stay there again!
This is a great place next the park in an awesome, and safe, neighborhood - one of the few places neighborhoods in the city where you can have a good night's sleep. I visit the city often and this neighborhood is one of the best in the city.
Aside from that, the place is as pictured, very well kept and Laurie is a great host. The bed was awesome, and having a kitchen in the city is a great. I'd have no problems recommending someone to stay here or staying here again in the future.
It's interesting to note that Golden Gate park is larger than Central Park in New York, and this place gives you walking distance to such an incredible location while also being a relatively short bus ride (and even shorter drive) from just about any location in the city you would want to be.
This is my second four week stay in this apartment in the last 12 months (see review for May, 2013). Once again, I would say the apartment was very clean, cozy and well-equipped. The neighborhood is safe and convenient to public transportation, Golden Gate Park and other services. My repeat stay speaks for itself as to my recommendation!
Laurie carries an intense sense of pride on welcoming her guests. My mom and I stayed at her place for about 10 days, and it was an incredible experience! Such a centric place, had De Young Museum Golden Gate Park, several restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. We had plenty enough room to place an air mattress which she provided. I strongly encourage other "airbnbers" to stay with Laurie.
We will think of her for whenever we travel to San Francisco.
Thank you Laurie!
Laurie is a charming host, very responsive and helpful. I asked whether a hair dryer was available, and she bought one the next day. Her studio is very quiet and well located for the Golden Gate park and public transportation towards downtown and other. We particularly liked the walk-in shower. As she mentions in her description, the studio is a little bit dark so you may need to keep the electric light on if you are in during the day. Overall we had a very satisfactory and pleasant stay, thanks Laurie !
Laurie's place was great and she was very accomodating and friendly. 2 blocks from Golden Gate Park. Would recommend to anyone heading to San Francisco. Great place!
We just got back from San Francisco and had an amazing time. Laurie's place is clean, comfy and nicely kept up. I especially like the walk-in rain shower!! The neighborhood is safe and very quiet at night for a good nights sleep. Laurie was a great host and made sure we were comfortable, had our bearings and delivered amazing coffee to brew! The location is ideal! It is only a few blocks away from Golden Gate Park with so many things to see (Science Museum, Japanese Gradens, Rose Gardens, Equestrian center, art etc.) Segways in the Park were especially fun. The beach is also not far and the Land's End Coastal Trail offers amazing views! We'd highly recommend Laurie and her place for a fun stay in San Francisco.
Laurie is the best!
The apt was super clean, spacious, and beautiful. Not only was the place comfortable, she made my stay even better with a list of local places to dine and buy groceries--excellent suggestions, btw!
I really had a lovely stay and highly recommend the neighborhood for anyone looking to stay in a tranquil part of SF.
Thank you for being a lovely host.
We were here on vacation and chose Laurie's place because it looked inviting and although we didn't know the SF area saw it was near the Golden Gate Park. Having her place so close to the park is like staying on the Upper West Side in NYC by Central Park. Her place is located close to most of the activities in the park or a short walk to wherever you need to be. Another great treat for us is all the eateries either in her neighborhood (Richmond) or on the other side of the park in Sunset. We usually walked to dinner and there is no shortage of all types of food available. Salsalito and Tiberon was only a short drive away over the Golden Gate Bridge and of course you have to visit the base of the bridge. Parking is in the street and was never a problem. The furthest we had to park one time was 2 blocks otherwise we were usually less than a block away.
Laurie is a great host making sure that we had everything. She knows a bunch of great eateries and if you stay you have to ask her about the best sushi restaurant we have ever been to. There is a secret to the place but if you don't stay with Laurie, you'll never know!
Her place is real cozy. She made great use of indoor lighting to assist the natural lighting coming through the window. Her kitchen was also equipped well enough for us to make garlic Dungeness crab with shrimp for dinner one night (yum). Everything was designed well to utilize the space and we never felt cramped.
We will be back to her place the next time we are in San Francisco.
