La Villa Spoleto is a relaxed, private estate in the heart of Umbria. It has everything to enjoy your holiday in an exclusive environment. Private pool |tennis courtyard | Gym | BBQ gazebo | traditional pizza oven | rose garden | wine cellar etc.
La Villa Spoleto is a great Italian country house, tastefully decorated with all comforts and luxury. This very private house has two separated but connected living areas which makes it ideal for different families or a small group of friends.
La Villa has a private pool with dressing rooms, an underground parking, a drive with wall fountain, a sport field with tennis court, a Jacuzzi bath, a remote controlled entrance gate, a wine cellar, a strongroom, a comfortable lounge with bar, a dog kennel, a spacious living room with fireplace, two kitchens and a superb 5000 m2 hilly garden around the house with traditional Pizza oven.
The connected living areas are named La Casa (2-4p) and La Torre (2-10p). Each has its own private entrance. In total La Villa Spoleto can accommodate up to 14 persons.
La Casa is the main house on ground level with a spacious atmospheric living room, a kitchen, a bedroom and a toilet/shower. A terrace door gives way to a patio with lovely view on the private garden and surroundings. La Casa is suitable for 2+2 persons.
La Torre is a tower shaped house with three floors. Each floor has a bedroom with private shower/toilet next to it. One of the bathrooms has a Yakuzi. On the first floor there is a cozy living kitchen with fireplace. All bedrooms have pool view and a vista on the beautiful Umbrian landscape near Spoleto. La torre is suitable for up to 7+2 persons.
La Villa Spoleto has its own wine cellar, cut out of the rock to keep the local wine in perfect condition. Attached to the main house is a former chapel converted into a lounge with bar. On demand vine tastings can be organized and delightful Italian specialties served like bruscetta toast with pure olive oil, wild boar sausage and Pecorino sheep cheese.
La Villa Spoleto is tucked away in the surrounding hills of Spoleto but not far from this artistic city with many cultural events, musea, performances and historical buildings. On the other side of the Ponte delle Torre is the Monte Luco, an ancient sacred forest well known for its untouched nature and the perfect place for a relaxing walk, active hiking day, meditation or horse riding.
Our group of six really enjoyed our stay at Villa Spoleto. The outdoor areas are particularly beautiful. There is a large pool with diving board, changing rooms with bathroom and fridge for drinks. There are several different areas for outside eating alongside a bbq and pizza oven. We were very grateful to Sebastiaan for organising an authentic pizza evening - complete with pizza handmade by the Napoli gardener! There is also a tennis court with floodlights for evening play.
The house itself was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. We felt very much at home. There perhaps wouldn't be enough communal space for a large group staying in the winter, but during summer months it is much nicer to be outside in any case. It is set against the stunning backdrop of the Umbrian hills and is only a few minutes drive from Spoleto (a very picturesque traditional italian town - as yet unspoilt by the tourist crush!). A car is needed to get to shops nearby.
We all came back feeling extremely relaxed and would definitely recommend holidaying here! We were made to feel very welcome and look forward to returning in the future.
Super house and wonderful host.
