LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Private room with private bathroom and private entrance located in the heart of the city!
Private bedroom and private 3/4 bath (shower but no tub) located in the heart of the Crescent Hill neighborhood off historic Frankfort Ave!
The bathroom is newly remodeled and the bedroom has new carpet, new bedroom furniture, and a very comfy queen mattress and bedding!! It also features a small work desk/chair, a separate private entrance, and a small patio. The shared areas of the home will include the open-spaced kitchen and living room area. Shared use of kitchen is limited. We allow use of refrigerator, microwave, eating utensils, and table.
The home is very centrally located within less than 5 miles of all the major highways and only 4 miles east of downtown Louisville and NULU. Also located only 3 miles to the center of Bardstown Rd and the Highlands, 3 miles to St Matthews mall, less than 10 miles to Churchill Downs, and within walking distance to parks, shops, restaurants and bars in both Crescent Hill and St Matthews neighborhoods. A TARC bus stop is also less than a block away!!
We are about 10 miles from the airport and the taxi fare from airport to front door is around $32. If we are available at your arrival or departure time , we would be willing to pick up or drop off at airport for $20. For those driving a car, there will be free street parking.
Clean linens/towels will be provided and the bathroom also has a hair dryer available for guest use. Continental breakfast will be provided which includes various fruits, cereal bars, milk, and coffee. Guests may also use HE washer/dryer upon request and when not in use by the host.
As a guest, you will also have free WI-fi access and private use of a 22" HDTV with cable in your bedroom.
We do have a small French Bulldog. He is very friendly and harmless. He is low energy so he mostly just sleeps all day and isn't allowed in the private bedroom or bathroom and will be kept out of your way. However, anyone with pet allergies or anyone who is a dog hater should probably consider other accommodations!!
Looking forward to having you as a guest! Please contact us before booking with any questions or concerns. We love our city and can't wait to help you with anything you need during your stay!! LGBT friendly as well.
Safe and happy travels,
Shana N Mya

Shana and Mya were great! Not to discount how great they were as people, the room was amazing! Really, probably the most comfortable bed I've slept in - ever. The bathroom is big and clean and private, and there's a private entrance. Basically - stay here because its the best deal you're likely to find anywhere. Their place is in a good location (especially if you have a car like me - parking is easy). Mya and Shana take really good care to give you their favorite haunts and places they hear are great. They definitely made my time in Louisville great and very comfortable. Thanks, hope to see you both again.
Gracious and warm hosts. Comfortable, clean contemporary accommodations. Great house and neighborhood location. Super sweet dog.
I would highly reccommend Shana and Myas home and hope to return on my next stay in Louisville.
Great experience once again. Very convenient check in. The room is private and even has its own entrance. The hosts are nice and very accommodating.
Shana and Mya were very welcoming upon our arrival. They were able to recommend a few great spots along Frankfort Ave. for us to check out. Our room was great, bed was super comfy, and we had our own entrance to come and go as we pleased. The photos on Airbnb don't do their place justice. We would definitely stay here again if our travels ever take us through Louisville.
Checking into Shana and Mya's place was just about the only thing that went smooth coming into Kentucky. (Lost luggage, delayed flight -- ouch!) Point is -- the house is charming, the bed is comfortable and the space is private. Not to mention, everything is as clean as described. I was here for work but, the neighborhood is very cute -- less touristy than downtown but, still close to the city center and walking distance to a cute street of bars and restaurants. Great hosts, nice without being intrusive. Would love staying here again, if the opportunity comes up!
This cozy little bungalow was a great place for my husband and me to rest after a local show. Shana and Mya's home is beautiful and pristine! Our room was cozy, comfortable, and private. The bathroom was lovely and spotless. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Shana during our short stay, but we DID get to meet Sebastian and Mya. We felt welcome and at home right away! We were able to come and go without disrupting our hosts - our only regret was not being able to bid them farewell. We will definitely book this place again! Mya recommended some great places to eat, and thanks to her sage advice, we ate two lovely meals at restaurants within walking distance from her home. Frankfort Avenue is home to many cool shops and restaurants - and we didn't have to venture too far away from the house. Many thanks :)
Hello. We are interested in traveling and meeting some new and exciting folks along the way. WeI came across Airbnb and thought I'd try it out rather than continue to stay in boring and overly priced hotels!! WeI love learning about other cultures, eating delicious foods, drinking wine, reading, running, biking, history, architecture, and anything that stimulates my mind to continued growth and learning. Looking forward to some new adventures!!
