The Space

Private bedroom and private 3/4 bath (shower but no tub) located in the heart of the Crescent Hill neighborhood off historic Frankfort Ave!

The bathroom is newly remodeled and the bedroom has new carpet, new bedroom furniture, and a very comfy queen mattress and bedding!! It also features a small work desk/chair, a separate private entrance, and a small patio. The shared areas of the home will include the open-spaced kitchen and living room area. Shared use of kitchen is limited. We allow use of refrigerator, microwave, eating utensils, and table.

The home is very centrally located within less than 5 miles of all the major highways and only 4 miles east of downtown Louisville and NULU. Also located only 3 miles to the center of Bardstown Rd and the Highlands, 3 miles to St Matthews mall, less than 10 miles to Churchill Downs, and within walking distance to parks, shops, restaurants and bars in both Crescent Hill and St Matthews neighborhoods. A TARC bus stop is also less than a block away!!

We are about 10 miles from the airport and the taxi fare from airport to front door is around $32. If we are available at your arrival or departure time , we would be willing to pick up or drop off at airport for $20. For those driving a car, there will be free street parking.

Clean linens/towels will be provided and the bathroom also has a hair dryer available for guest use. Continental breakfast will be provided which includes various fruits, cereal, milk, and coffee. Guests may also use HE washer/dryer upon request and when not in use by the host.

As a guest, you will also have free WI-fi access and private use of a 22" HDTV with cable in your bedroom.

We do have a small French Bulldog. He is very friendly and harmless. He is low energy so he mostly just sleeps all day and isn't allowed in the private bedroom or bathroom and will be kept out of your way. However, anyone with pet allergies or anyone who is a dog hater should probably consider other accommodations!!

Looking forward to having you as a guest! Please contact us before booking with any questions or concerns. We love our city and can't wait to help you with anything you need during your stay!! LGBT friendly as well.

Safe and happy travels,

Shana N Mya

  • We enjoyed our stay w Mya and Shana. Their bungalow is lovely and the accommodations were perfect for us. They arranged their schedule to join us crossing the pedestrian bridge our first night. What a blast! We also fell in love with their French Bulldog, Sebastian--quite the gentleman. We'd come back for another stay anytime with our new friends.

  • First of all let me just say that I fell in love with Louisville - what an amazing city! This was helped in no small part to my brilliant hosts - Shana and Mya. Their home is absolutely beautiful and the guest accommodation is perfect. This is possibly one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in!

Shana and Mya made me feel extremely welcome and Sebastian the French Bulldog is a friendly little fella. They were able to provide me an extensive list of great local hangouts and my only regret is that I didn't get to try them all. The suggestions for drinks or dining were all amazing and I met some great friends in many of those places.

Their home is conveniently located close to everything you could possibly need in Louisville on a charming residential street.

Without a doubt I will be returning to Louisville and I would be privileged to stay at Shana and Mya's home again.

  • The house is in a nice aera of Louisville, with shops and restaurants within a few minutes drive. Downtown Louisville is also a short drive from the place. The room itself is very clean with a nice comfortable bed and a private bathroom. The hosts Shana and Mya were friendly and helpful during my stay, giving me good local advice on where to visit and where to eat.

  • AirBnB doesn't get much better than this: very comfortable room with private entry and private bath in a beautiful home, in a great location, with very friendly and hospitable hosts!

  • I loved staying at Shana and Mya's. Their place was clean and modern, and they were so nice to recommend some amazing places to eat and drink around the city. Check in was smooth, my flight was delayed a couple hours but they accommodated me without hesitation. I couldn't have asked for a better first airbnb experience. As it was my first time in Louisville, I spent most of my time running around the city. I only wish I was able to spend more time there!

Hello. We are interested in traveling and meeting some new and exciting folks along the way. WeI came across Airbnb and thought I'd try it out rather than continue to stay in boring and overly priced hotels!! WeI love learning about other cultures, eating delicious foods, drinking wine, reading, running, biking, history, architecture, and anything that stimulates my mind to continued growth and learning. Looking forward to some new adventures!!
