About This Listing
The ground floor of the East Wing in a very special Grade II listed, holiday let in the beautiful Cotswold village of Chalford. Just a short drive away is the 'Capital of the Cotswolds' Cirencester, Painswick, Cheltenham, Stroud, the antiques center of Tetbury, the World Heritage City of Bath, Bourton-on-the-Water and much more.
The recently refurbished accommodation comprises a small porch, opening into a modern kitchen/living area complete with wood burner. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom sleeping a maximum of 6 with 1 double, 1 twin and an overflow double sofa bed in the living room area. The cottage annex forms part of a large listed property, once occupied by the owner of one of the local mills. The cottage part of the house is believed to be about 400 years old in contrast to the more 'modern' Georgian West Wing of the house added around 1820 by the mill owner. Note: Also lovely 2 bed/2 bath Loft available.
You'll have your own small private garden plus one parking place.
Interaction with Guests
We're usually on site and around if you have any questions or want to borrow DVDs or games. However, it's up to you how much you see us - if you want to be left alone, then you might not see us at all!
It's a truly beautiful part of the world and I'm not just saying that because I'm biased. Fantastic for walkers and sight-see'ers and you can enjoy much of what's on offer without even getting into your car. Although there's also lots to see a short drive away too.
There's a train from London to Stroud and although there is public transport it's not fantastically well serviced to Chalford. Get in touch and I can advise depending on what you'd like to do.
The Cottage is self catering so bring everything you need with you! (linen provided though).
There is 1 double bed; 2 beds that can be singles or zip and linked together to make another double; and a double sofa-bed.
From Jul 10 - Sep 3, 2015 the minimum stay is 7 nights.
We had a fantastic stay at green court for 5 nights and 6 days. It is a beautiful location to have as a base and take the kids for walks and enjoy the Cotswolds' intimate vibe. Anna was a warm host and had great recommendations for things to do and see. Chris was also very helpful with his suggestions. The cottage was easy and had all the comforts of home. Thank you Anna & Chris! We hope to visit again in the future.
The Cottage was beautiful. It was exactly as described, clean, and very comfy and cosy in stunning surroundings. Anna was also a great host, and we would definitely stay again.
Our host Anna was very welcoming. We had a lovely time at the cottage. The kids loved waking up to the birds. Very cosy and warm. Perfect for small family or group of friends. Very light and airy for a cottage which was nice.
We had a wonderfull holiday in Chalford and our host Anna was great. She was very flexible on arriving and departing time so for us that was very relaxed. The cottage is as cosy and comfortable as described/as you can see in the pictures. Its location is perfect to explore the beautiful Cotswolds and Anna is great to ask for any thing you need or need to know. An adress to remember!

About the Host, Anna
I live in Chalford (next to the holiday let we're advertising here), with my husband, dog and daughter. Not necessarily in that order, I just think Dog & Daughter would make a great name for a pub.
We have two holiday lets in Chalford and have lived here ourselves for over 8 years, loving the countryside, walks, easy access London, Bath, Cheltenham, Birmingham etc...
We're big on travelling ourselves and have recently returned from an 8 month stint around Southern Africa. New to Airbnb but it's come highly recommended, so we're giving it a go for advertising and also for seeking new places ourselves.
