The Space

A great choice for your stay in Athens!
The appartment is located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood near the historical center of Athens, Greece. It's only 5 minutes walk from metro station (green line, Petralona) and the bus station. You can reach Syntagma, Plaka, Thissio, Monastiraki, Acropolis and most of the must-see places in only 10 minutes time. Very close to the shopping part of the city as well! All the other must see places, like the Archaeological museum, you can reach them in 15 minutes by train.
It's also only 5 minutes walk from the Filopappou hill, part of the ancient city of Athens where Pnyx and other famous places are situated, while getting to the Acropolis will take 20 minutes walk (more or less)! If you like walking, you will love the neighbourhood!
The name of the area is Petralona. Petralona a very typical, in terms of architecture, part of how Athens used to be about 40-50 years ago. A walk around the area will unveil some secrets of the city...:-) Meanwhile, the area is lately one of the most hip areas of the city, famous for its cozy bars and traditional taverns...
I love to walk around the area with Viktor, my dog - a very well - behaved black labrador!
The appartment is 70sq.m. and there is 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 office with a sofa which can be turned into a double bed, a bathroom and a living room with a kitchen. It's on the 6th floor, so a sky view is offered!

  • Very nice and cozy appartement! I really liked my stay here.

Foteni is also very easy to live with and she helped me with any question I had. She even gave me a litle tour of the neigberhood and showed me where the good restaurants where and so on. Wich was very helpful since Athens can be quite hard to navigate through by your self.
And the dog was one of the friendliest dogs I have ever lived with.

  • Foteini's apartment is beautiful with a wonderful outdoor deck and a modern kitchen. Her decor is fun and quirky, and the living room is spacious and inviting. We loved the neighborhood she's in because it's mainly Greeks with very few tourists. The Acropolis is only a moderate walk from the flat, with lots of cafes and parks along the way. Foteini wasn't around while we were there but her friend was there to meet us when we arrived and she was responsive to emails when we had questions. We had a very comfortable stay, and would stay at her place again!

  • This is a very comfortable apartment in a nice neighborhood. We had a great time. The host's friend Dimitris gave us a good overview and some restaurant and shopping recommendations. We really liked Lolita's Meze bar, which is just up the street and to the right.

  • Foteine was the perfect host for Athens. She did not only recommend a great deal of interesting places and events, she also let us our privacy. The apartment is perfectly situated (we discovered most of the city by foot and metro station is very close) and has a charming balcony. Couldn't have had more luck!

  • This was an amazing place to stay for our time in Athens! We spent our last few days of a 6 week tour in Europe at Foteini's apartment and we couldn't have asked for a better way to end the trip. Great location and very easy to get to the city center. Made great use of the kitchen which was very helpful and spent some great night out on the balcony. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Foteini but her friend Dimitris was a wonderful guy and took the time to meet up with when we arrived and when we left. If we go back to Athens we will definitely be looking to stay here again!

PhD Candidate in museum theatre
Currently I am working on my PhD on museum theatre and the good thing is that I travel often...when not I usually study at home, in libraries or in cafes (that's my favorite)... I love theatre, museums, books, movies, sports, meeting interesting people, enjoying long walks with my dog, hanging around in bars & cafes, looking for the unexpected, traveling, cooking (sometimes) & smiling! Through Airbnb I've met some really interesting people!
