My wife and I live in Old McKinney just 4 blocks from the Square (a great place for food, bars, shopping and live music) in a craftsman style home. Our front bedroom is available for rent. Our house was built in 1925 and remodeled in 2012. We've been here since the remodeling was completed, and we love it.
You'll have your own full bathroom, closet, and queen-sized tempurpedic bed. The bedroom has two sunny windows that allow you to see the porch and front yard. If you're bringing a third guest, we have a futon that folds out to provide more sleeping space.
Additionally, we'll share our kitchen and living spaces with you, as well as our porch (my favorite place to be when the weather is right). When you wake up, you'll have a French press and ground coffee available for you to enjoy. WiFi is available to all guests for free. We have plenty of room for parking behind our house.
Within walking distance, you'll find the McKinney Square, a resurrected town center that is full of restaurants, bars, live music and plenty of shopping. It takes my wife and me about 5 minutes to walk there. We're happy to share our favorite spots with you - pizza, burgers, clothing and jewelry stores, beer, steaks, French cuisine, antiques, and of course, Mexican food are all within a 10 minute walk! There are plenty of chain restaurants and fast food within a short drive. We're a three minute drive from HWY 75.
We look forward to welcoming you into our home.
Ryan & Georgia are great hosts. Their home is cozy and friendly. I definitely recommend them!
It was my first airbnb-experience, and it was a good one. Ryan and Georgia were great hosts, easygoing, friendly, generous, with good advice on restaurants, places to go, etc. I "felt at home". Their house is really nice. I had my own very comfortable room with my own big bathroom and could share their kitchen and living room, perfect! Highly recommended!
Ryan and Georgia were fantastic hosts. Their house is absolutely lovely. Our room was very comfortable, great bed as well. I like to say it felt like we were staying with friends, and Ryan and Georgia are great people. Had a great breakfast with Georgia on our last day there. Hope to go back sometime. Thank you so much Ryan and Georgia for a memorable trip to McKinney:)
The Great House in McKinney was cozy, clean, and super cute! Ryan and his wife were flexible with our arrival time when we realized we would be late and took the time to get to know us for a few minutes before we parted ways for the rest of the weekend. The bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable and we couldn't have asked for better accommodations. McKinney was also surprisingly quaint and we had a great time walking to the square to explore. Truly a great visit, we would return in a heart beat!
We arranged for friends to stay at the Millers' house and they absolutely loved it! The house is adorable, neat, clean and attractive. Loved the Tempurpedic bed. The location is perfect to access the downtown McKinney area with its restaurants, shops and lots of live music on the weekends. Porches, sidewalks, big trees make for a beautiful neighborhood. I would recommend this house to anyone.
Adorable house, extremely clean & very comfortable bed. And a nice couple - logistics were easy. (By the way, McKinney is an awesome little town with awesome restaurants and great energy - am thinking of bringing my wife down for a mini-vacation!)
Nice place to stay. Its just a few blocks from the McKinney square. The bed is very comfortable. It was nice to have a private bath too! Ryan and wife gave me the keys to the house so I could come and go which is exactly what I needed.
Our time at Ryan and Georgia's house was FANTASTIC and we couldn't have asked for a better first time AirBnB experience. The house was charming and relaxing--my husband spent much of our time kicking back and sipping coffee at their kitchen table. Ryan was a great host. Hope we can go back sometime!
Ryan and his wife are great. We stayed a second time and it was just like my last review. Great house, great location. Highly recommend them! Hope to visit in the future again.
My husband and I were in town for a short while after I had some surgery for infertility and needed a comfy place to stay before making the 5 hour drive back to Arkansas.I am very glad we chose their house, the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom they had was very spacious. Ryan and his wife are so sweet and welcoming, they did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable and even chatted with us :-) Their house is so charming and I fell in love with it during our short stay, the porch was my favorite though! It was nice sitting out on the porch in the evening in their quiet historical neighborhood. We also enjoyed the Mckinney downtown square that was walkable (we drove since my surgery didn't really allow me to walk) the food down in the square was amazing. If you are looking for more chain restaurants those are just a short drive away as well, everything was near by. I really recommend Ryan's house if you are looking for a place to relax and kick back and if you do decide to stay make sure you check out the square just down the road from their house you will not regret it!
