"We enjoyed staying here. It was close to city centre. Easy access. As a family I could cook all meals. It was a home away from home. Ingredients and cooking utensils were already in the cupboards.Beds were made. Owners left us a note hoping we enjoy our stay."

Other Things to Note
There is a mum dad and 2 kids discount available...or a mum and mum / dad and dad and 2 kids.....
This was a good value place to stay within easy walking distance to the waterfront. Communication was very easy and accommodating. Things to note - the stairs are steep and the bedrooms are interconnected. There's a good coffee shop nearby called Small Fry. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.
We really enjoyed our 4 day stay at this very comfortable terrace in Hobart. Russell and Ingrid gave helpful directions and instructions prior to our arrival. The house was centrally located so we walked easily to everything we wanted to see and do in Hobart. The house was cosy, well-equipped and quiet even though so close to CBD.thank you so much Ingrid and Russell.
Hi Ingrid and Russell
Thank you for making us feel so comfortable in your home.
making up the beds, leaving us milk and the flowers were a wonderful welcome.

With a 15 minute walk (or 5 minute by car) to Salamanca Place, the location is great. On a quieter street than some of the hotels in the area. Located close to a few restaurants. The communication with the hosts was excellent. The place is cozy with a nice redeveloped bathroom but lacking shampoo - the plentiful body wash for the hair is not the same thing.
Stairs to the bedrooms are very steep because of the early era of the building - tripped once going down to the toilet.
The little missing thing was that there was no milk in the fridge - even some UHT milk would have been nice on our first and only night. We were not sure if the frozen meals were for us to use if we wanted.
Our main problem was that main bed was not made-up with a top sheet. We could not locate any and were forced to sleep under the thin cotton blanket that was placed over the bed. We were too tired to care but did wonder how many others had to do the same thing and how close we were to their bodies. Then we started thinking if the pillow cases and bottom sheet had been changed - a bit paranoid I know, but this was our first experience of an AirBnB and maybe we were were expecting something more akin to a traditional B and B.
These little things is why we gave 4/5 stars.
Thanks for your feedback Vince.
Just to put your minds at ease, the bed linen including doona covers and towels are ALWAYS freshly launded for each new guest(s) and should be readily appararent once you pull the covers! (I still remember the joy of fresh linen day from boarding school)
The milk was an oversight. Yes the frozen wild caught alaskan pollock dinner packs are courtesy emergency meals and quite delicious too!
It was a lovely place to stay in a very quiet part of town and not far away from the harbour.
Unfortunately we did not meet Russell and Ingrid.
We had a warm, dry and comfortable stay during a wet, cold, Hobart summer weekend. The unit was clean, well-kept, roomy, and above all in a great location. Good communication from the hosts.
We're Russell and Ingrid.
Ingrid is a school music teacher and I lecture at the Conservatorium of Music. We live on a small farm about an hour south of Hobart in the Huon Valley. We maintain our little house at 40 Goulburn Street where our guests make themselves at home....and hopefully enjoy their stay in Hobart.
