Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. Quiet area close to nature and scenic roads and parks. Nestled between Elkader and Strawberry Point. Close to Backbone State Park and Volga/Turkey Rivers. This is a rural property, not located in a town with any amenities. You must bring what you need or plan to travel 8 miles to Elkader (Dollar General, Wilkes Grocery, pit stop gas station)or strawberry point (Dollar General, Casey’s and Nadings gas stations)

The space
The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bathroom has a single shower stall and the other has a shower/tub combo with washer and dryer in there as well. Two bedrooms are connected (you must walk through one to get to the other and they are a joined at the either end by a bathroom as well). This is an old house and some of the features are old, some have been remodeled and updated. Please keep that in mind. Bedrooms do not have doors. Extras in the house: There is a pack n' play available in the closet along with extra linens and a couple of sleeping bags for guest use. There is a cooler on wheels for personal use if needed. There is parking in front of the garage or home but the garage is not open for use. Large porch on property with small table and chairs. We are in the process of replacing windows and doors in between renters so please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Guest access
You'll have the entire house other than the garage, but there is plenty of outdoor parking areas, living room, kitchen and dining area. There are some chairs on the porch and we have extra plastic chairs we can bring over if you have a need. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions. House sits on a dead end road and we live at the end of it should you need us for anything.

Other things to note
There is one step going into the front door. All rooms are on the main floor, the large bedroom does have 1 step going down into it. There is an unfinished basement that could be used in case of a weather emergency. Currently there is Wifi but it can be spotty at times. There is a TV with DVD/blue ray player but no cable TV or satellite. Reminder that this is a rural property even though there are neighbors. It’s a quiet area without any amenities other than the house itself. We are always happy for suggestions if you think there’s something that should be there that isn’t definitely let us know. We try to make sure there’s an ample supply of toilet paper, paper towels, towels, Kleenex, laundry soap, dish soap, and hand soap. If you have a preferred brand please bring it.
