A contemporary, cozy, beautifully furnished cabin nestled on rustic acreage of Ponderosa Pines. Covered patio area with gas grill and lots of seating for year round use and electric Barrel sauna! Original artwork and crafts are featured in every room. Poofy's Paradise is Insta-worthy, and very private with beautiful views from every window.
Close access to Leavenworth, Stevens pass, wineries, lakes, hiking, golf and more.

The space
WELCOME! We have furnished the cabin to be a contemporary, bright, cozy space with wood floors and ceilings, original art work and hand crafted wood details, you may not want to leave. There is a large selection of books, magazines and games for your use. Enjoy the privacy, we have wonderful neighbors but you will not see them, just the view of the trees, peek a boo views of the surrounding hills and if you are lucky the resident deer family.

Our covered patio area features a large custom made seating area, bar counter with stools for year round use. As well as a large patio table to seat the whole group! Outdoor potbelly stove for campfires when permitted in Chelan county.

Follow the walking trails that loop throughout the property to the "Christmas Trees" where you can hear the neighbors horses neighing. The kids will have a blast sledding all day and late into the evening in the winter time.
Note: The property served as a farm for many generations and despite many and regular clean ups, we still occasionally find a bit of glass or barb wire. Its also easy to stray off the property. In short, the property is “rustic” so please always wear shoes, watch your step, and make sure children are always tended.

Guest access
You'll have full access to the cabin and property. We have a small shed we use for our own personal storage as well as a storage closet in the house.

Other things to note
The driveway is plowed regularly in the winter months. If you do not feel confidant coming up the driveway, just leave your car at the bottom of the drive way and walk up to the house.

Neighborhood highlights

The Old Mill Cafe in Plain is a great diner for breakfast and lunch. Don't miss Plain Hardware next door for great coffee, cool t-shirts, gifts and of course, all your hardware needs. To get to Plain head east on the scenic Chumstick highway toward Leavenworth.
If its summer time, and you're feeling hot, float down the river! The 2 hour river float starts at Mosquito Flats (middle of Beaver Valley Rd where all the cars are parked), jump out at the Bridge! Don't forget to stop over on the natural beach below the start of the white cliffs.

For snow shoeing and cross country skiing, stomp all around Poofy's Paradise, or if you're feeling more adventurous, head west on the Chiwawa Loop Road towards Fish Lake. Pull over at the first Sno-Park. Cross-country trails are on both sides of the street.

Lake Wenatchee is 10 minutes from Poofy's and a great place to relax and take in the lively scene. Stevens Pass Resort is around 30 minutes away and a great place to ski and snowboard in the winter, or mountain bike in the summer. Mission Ridge is a touch over an hour away, and perfect on a blue bird winter day.

There are also almost always great events in Leavenworth like outdoor plays, concerts, the amazing holiday season lights, elves dressed up, and more; click HERE to find the latest. And finally, once you've had your share of Bratwurst and lederhozen, Idlewild Pizza is the place to go -- amazing pizza cooked in front of you in their wood fired pizza oven.

All of this said, perhaps our favorite activity of all is simply lounging around Poofy's Paradise; we've built a few trails that are fun to stroll or ride bikes on. In the winter time, there are a couple different sledding hills on the property. The old Christmas Tree farm is a treat, and there's nothing better than strolling through the neighborhood after a fresh snow. If you keep your eyes peeled, you might see some of the local deer cruising through, or the occasional coyote. And if you're lucky, bob cats, bears and mountain lions are known to sometimes make an appearance in Shughart Flats. Needless to say, keep some distance from those higher up the food chain.
