About This Listing
This is practically renting a whole house! Last 2 weeks of February-- I am going on holiday for the Chinese New Year, and so far no one has rented any of the rooms available.
See the pictures and link of other listing to see the whole place.
This is a limited offer, as it is my own room in the house! I will be traveling back home for the holidays (well, the Lunar New Year at least... I have missed my own Western ones!)
The room is situated on the top (3rd) floor; and is big, very secluded, and comfortable, Ideal for a couple. It includes a huge bed, wardrobe, TV, etc. The bathroom is uniquely situated nearby, just outside the balcony door. The patio then stretches nearly completely around the Master Suite!
Downstairs close by is a busy market that lives and breathes nearby. If you like to cook, it's easy to do within minutes of browsing... everything you need (not only limited to food) can be found just a few dozen meters away!
The rest of the house can be seen here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/735215
Another unique thing about this house is the amount of light and air that can be easily accessed. On the main floor are two small balconies, off the kitchen, while upstairs you can use the ENORMOUS balcony which wraps around almost 360* (and half of which is private), giving a nearly full panorama of the city.
Short-term rentals are welcome, but the room is probably best enjoyed as a place to relax for a while. Exploring the city is still easy to do from here.
Great location, moments from d.1 and other hotspots, like the Le Thanh Ton area, lots of great restaurants and bars, responsive landlord, market around the corner, and more!
Near the intersection of main streets Nguyen Huu Canh and Ngo Tat To, but on a quiet lane tucked in behind the shadow of the Manor.
Local street market just at the end of the lane. Great for foodies!
About the Host, Rusty
I'm American, have been living and working in Vietnam for 6 years, and I simply love Saigon! It has just the right mix of unpredictability, fast-pace, great weather and food, and good vibes for me.
The rest of Vietnam is also amazing-- it has everything to fit any style-- from lazy deserted beaches to romantic mountain valley towns, huge caves and jungles, national parks, and river cruises (and more!)
Before Vietnam I lived in Prague for several years, with origins in Portland and Virginia back in the States. I love travel, film, sports, and current events / sociology.
