Within walking distance, there is the Eilung, and King Kyungjong’s Tomb (the tomb of the 20th King of the Chosun Dynasty including walking and hiking trails). In addition, Kyungdong Herbal Market and Dongdaemun Market are located nearby.
Take Airport Railroad ( about 1 hr.), and get off at Seoul Station. Then take Subway 1 ( 30 mins.) to Hankuk Unversity of Foreign Studies( Oedae).
It is also possible to take the Limousine Bus #6002 to Cheongnangni Station, and then take a taxi to ‘Oedae Humun’, the back gate of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies ($4.00).
Arriving on christmas night and running late for a concert as well, sean was kind enough to direct me to my concert venue. He even stuffed food into my hands, knowing i did not have a chance to have dinner.
While the room was not 5 star room experience, Sean's friendliness and kindness made up for it. With a quick orientation, you will know everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Sean and Liza's double studio was conveniently located right next to HUFS and two other universities, making it a great place for lots of cheap+good eats and cafes. The subway line 1 Hankuk University of Foreign Studies line is also nearby, and the bus number 273 will take you to the old center of Seoul (Gwanghwamun, Jongno, etc.). Sean was very warm and welcoming, there was a painting of his in our room as well as an artistically arranged fruit bowl :) You can cook in the studio but there were so many places to eat around we never got around to it. Great value for those seeking cozy digs in a university setting.
