Apartment is in a renovated furniture factory building, remodeled for artists' live-work spaces with 14' ceilings.

One large shared bathroom off full-size kitchen. Kitchen is available for your use, cleaning up. FREE in-unit washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Great space for international and active travelers. I am easy going and welcome your inquiry.

  • I completely enjoyed her space! It's artistic, positive and charming! I adore that her artwork is all over the place and that the sun pours in the huge window in the morning! The futon was quite comfortable! I also enjoyed Tia very much! She had a wonderful friendly welcome for me and was a perfect host! I would highly recommend Tia's Artist Loft!

  • My mother and I came last minute to Milwaukee for Ira Glass' new show. Tia kindly accepted us the day before. Her apartment is beautiful and very cosy. We thoroughly enjoyed speaking to her about her travels and gorgeous artwork. We wish we had more time to chat. Everything was wonderful and I'd definitely stay with Tia again.

    Thanks a bunch!

  • Tia was accommodating from the moment we walked in to when we left. She showed us around the apartment and building to make sure we felt familiar and comfortable with the place. She even drew us a bike map for Oak Leaf trail. Tia offered us earplugs when there was a celebration next door that ended a little late. She was a perfectly lovely host and we would recommend staying with her.

  • Tia was a very helpful in accommodating us coming in late, especially on a holiday. Her loft is beautiful and comfortable; the futon is just big enough for two small people. Tia showed us her art and shared a new technique with us, and she let us use some of her art supplies so the three of us could create art together.

  • Tia was a great host for my first airbnb experience. Her place is beautiful and spacious, her building is the most unique apartment I've ever seen, and Tia is the most gracious host. She offered tea and to cook breakfast. We had great conversation, but she also gave me plenty of space to get some work done. It was a great experience, thanks Tia!

About
I am a community-integrated visual artist living and working in Milwaukee, WI. I'm a freelance Graphic Designer, collaborative muralist and arts-educator. I jog, play piano, am a member of Playback Milwaukee Theatre Company, paint, love afro-latin dance, animals, learning new languages (Arabic) and making crafts. Things I can't live without are: traveling, healthy food, talking circles, dark chocolate, nature, enjoying music, and being part of a good community. My favorite travel destinations have been a 4-day jungle hike to Macchu Picchu (Peru), a two-day stay on the islands of Lake Titicaca (Peru), the Great Pyramid in Egypt, and the giant Sequoia's in Yosemite National Park (California). My travel style is light, organic and intuitive, like walking down a main street and seeing an interesting side street that nobody pays attention to - only to find music, laughter and dancing at the other end.
