The Room has NO lock. You have to trust me like I trust you. If you find some gold or diamonds in my appartment, its yours!
If you stay more than one night, i have to get in once in a while, because some of my clothes are in your room. But no worry, i will respect your privacy, i wont get in while you sleep and i will knockl your door.
There is a gas heater, turn it off when you are gone, i would hate to see my house burned down.
The shared bathroom and toilet is next to your sleeping room.
The kitchen is downstairs, so you always can sit there or make yourself tea or cook. I am really not a tight person regarding houserules, cleaning up, et c. And i am always in for fixing you a breakfeast, if you dont get up to early. Otherwise i dont mind you to loot the fridge.
Peter was great host.
His house was comfortable place to take a tram, cozy.
Was een prettig verblijf en leuk dat je zo vertrouwd wordt. Een aanrader voor iedereen
I had a good experience. Overall Peter and Eveline are accommodating hosts. While I arrived late at night, Peter was able to welcome me. Peter gave me an OV chipkaart to borrow for travel around the city. The hob and oven were available to use, as was the refrigerator. I was also able to 'check out' in the early evening, which was fantastic. It's also worth noting that I had no issues with the lack of a lock or with the use of the room for storing clothes, as Peter/Eveline always asked before entering.
The room was fine for my needs. The single bed was big enough for my 6ft frame and there was no trouble sleeping. (a word of advice for guests, though: close the door gently because it can get stuck in the jamb)
The house is just a couple of minutes from the nearest RET station, which in turn is about a 15-20-minute journey from the city centre. Delfshaven is lovely, so do make sure you give yourself a chance to wander around the neighbourhood, and if you're spending time in the centre of the city, the walk to the house is scenic and takes about an hour, taking you past a nice variety of settings.
