Conveniently located walking distance from the Recoleta district, this 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment is in a French building from the 1920s. It has recently been totally refurbished with modern fixtures, high ceilings, large open kitchen, yet retains it's original charm and classic style.
Features include: 100 sq/mts, 16 foot high ceilings, impeccable oak parquet floors, original French windows, beautifully decorated spacious living/dining room, modern bathrooms, queen size bed with high quality linens, spacious closets, brand new kitchen fully equipped with electric appliances.
Wandering the streets in this heavily French influenced area, you will find some of the best shopping centres, leather shops, cafes, restaurants, art galleries, and parks in Buenos Aires. Just three blocks away, lies the famous shopping street 'Avenida Santa Fe', which became the preferred venue for upscale shopping in Buenos Aires in the 1950s.
Within walking distance is the remarkable Recoleta Cemetery, Eva Peron's famous resting place, and several universities including the Faculties of Medicine and Economics. If you don't mind a longer stroll, why not enjoy Buenos Aires' beautiful sunny weather and walk to the Obelisk on your way 'dowtown' to the micro center (1-2km).
This apartment really is in a fantastic central location. If you want to explore other parts of this lively city, you are just one block away from Subway stations 'Facultad de Medicina' or 'Callao'. Alternatively a short taxi, bus, or subway ride will take you almost anywhere you want to go.
Interaction with Guests
You will be met at the apartment by someone with a key, and you can communicate with them for any questions or concern during your stay.
I like to check in with guests periodically via email to see if they have arrived safely and again shortly before they check out. I can always be reached via email, but the key holder is the best person to contact for local matters.
Within 1-2 blocks in any direction you have several bakeries, vegetable stands, butcher shops and small supermarkets. Two different subway lines are easily accessible on foot and Recoletta cemetery is a 20 min walk.
You are just a few blocks walk from 2 different subway lines, which give you access to most of the city.
We love our flat, so we expect you to treat it like it was yours (assuming you keep your house nice and clean...). Kids are OK (we have 2) as long as they are respectful. As this is an apartment in a building, parties (or any external guests of any kind) are not OK.
No loud music. No smoking. No pets.
Please make sure to take out the trash daily. And leave all windows closed and locked when not in the apartment.
Please do not leave the A/C running when you leave the flat.
My husband and I love to travel. I am Canadian, and he is from Argentina. We have lived abroad and travelled extensively, often exchanging homes or renting apartments for our travels.
We have had many many great experiences, especially in Amsterdam, Croatia and Greece. We currently live in the USA and enjoy visiting our second home in Buenos Aires with our two small children.
We love our flat in BA and hope other people will get to enjoy it as much as we have. We remodeled it ourselves to include a beautiful open plan kitchen and living room so that we can cook, and entertain friends and family. We always take special care of the places we stay, since we know what it is like to share our home.
