About this listing
In the Southern Penninsula, Noordhoek Valley. Both the Atlantic and Indian Oceans are 5 min away, for best swimming and surfing spots. Perfect holiday home away from home. Big sunny rooms, veranda, garden and swimming pool. Speak German.
Our home is focused around a large and sociable open-plan living/kitchen area. The kitchen has a Smeg oven with four-burner gas-top/electric fan-forced oven. A single-door fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and quality kitchenware.
There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Both bathrooms offer a toilet and shower while the downstairs bathroom also houses a bath. The main bedroom offers a queen-size extra length bed. Two bedrooms are kitted out for children with single beds and shelves with toys, puzzles, books and games. The 4th bedroom offers a double bed. The lounge opens up onto the covered stoep (veranda/patio) with a 10 seater outside dining table. The veranda has a built in braai (BBQ) and overlooks the garden and beautiful pool. (The pool is heated by a solar heating system). The grassed back yard has a children's play area (trampoline, jungle gym and sand pit).
The house is fenced all round and a remote-controlled gate allows parking for three vehicles. Further parking space is available on the wide, grassed verge. The entire house is available except the garage and a 5th bedroom, which will accommodate my son who oversees the property. A small office will be locked and will store our personal belongings.
Interaction with guests
Will interact as much as much as the guest's require.
The house is located in the quiet suburb of Milkwood Park. Within this area are many young families and often the children are found playing on the street. There is a park just around the corner from the house. The Longbeach Mall is within walking distance for your every shopping need. A brand new Virgin Active will be opening at the end of November. All the beaches in the area can be accessed by a short 3-5 minute drive. There are mountain walks, shops, restaurants, bars, nature reserves, long unspoilt beach walks, lighthouse sunsets and epic surfing spots. Only a short drive to Kalk Bay, Simons Town, penguin watching and of course the Cape Point Nature Reserve.
It will be best to have your own transport. But we are within walking distance of public transport such as busses and taxis. It is also possible to catch the train into Cape Town Central or the southern suburbs.
The house is family-friendly but is just as perfect for a group of friends/couples. It goes without saying that loud parties or disrespectful behaviour are discourages. The house is also non-smoking (inside) and no pets are allowed.
