Interaction with Guests
The developer/owner lives on site and is available to help with airport vans, tours, rental cars, restaurant recommendations, where to shop, where to find the best massage therapist and in-house chef, and most important, for immediate response to any questions or concerns relating to maintenance.
La Josefina is centrally located on the best main road in the area, in the peaceful countryside but within easy distance of all beaches and towns, and only 30 miles from Liberia International airport.
Buses stop in front of The Oaks every hour, and we can recommend taxi service.
Other Things to Note
We are a family oriented community that is good for couples.
No noise that can be heard outside after 11:00 p.m. Small dog OK with refundable $200 pet deposit, but must be walked on a leash and must pick up after the dog.
We stayed at The Oaks for 4 weeks from the middle of January. We were very happy with this complex. The people were friendly and we enjoyed good times with both permanent residents and other renters alike. We found the location to be very good. You need a car but there are many beaches to explore and the town of Tamarindo is nice ( although the traffic was busy some days). We were originally supposed to stay in a ground floor unit which would be our preference but there was a mix up and we ended up on the second floor. This might be preferable to some people as there was a nice view of the pool area and a bit further from the activity.
The 3 pools were lovely and we spent a lot of time at two of them. The lap pool for exercise and the eternity pool for cooling off and socializing. The grounds and buildings were lovely and well kept.
We were in unit 86 and we had a few things that needed attending too and Robert had them rectified the very next day which was appreciated. We would definitely rent again at The Oaks if we come back to Costa Rica.

I am the developer of The Oaks and still have 5 condos available for vacation rentals, all with the best location around our largest of three pools. I found Costa Rica eight years ago and love it, especially the laid back sunny area where we live near Tamarindo. Key word, near. I married Roxana, my Tica wife, a little over a year ago, have two great Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs and in previous lives have been a lawyer and banker. From Richmond, VA, Miami and Southern California, "retired" in Costa Rica.
