400 thread-count cotton sheets and towels, high-end queen size mattress, lots of sunlight.
Designed by San Francisco architect Courtenay Dill Glander, this spacious apartment has been recently remodeled to serve specifically as an AirBnB destination in Sofia. The location of the unit is unbeatable: it is just two blocks from the pedestrian Vitosha Boulevards and right next to the National Palace of Culture, one of Sofia's greatest landmarks, and home of some of the best night clubs in the city. The apartment is located in a historical building and features amazing high ceilings and restored original artwork and wood paneling. The unit is rather quiet and features newly installed double pane windows.
The tasteful, cozy and comfortable furnishings will make your stay in Sofia very enjoyable. My wife and I rent three properties in San Francisco and this is our fourth project which we just finished remodeling together with my parents, who live in Sofia. They will be your hosts and also offer convenient airport pick-up for $20.

This is a no-smoking, no shoes inside home. Thank you for respecting the space.
This is a no-smoking and no shoes inside home. If you smoke in the home, you will loose your security deposit. We have spent a lot of time carefully furnishing the apartment and appreciate your respect for the space. You would absolutely love your stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is well appointed and very comfortable. The rooms are very sunny and the ceilings are remarkably high. The location is excellent and near many restaurants. We will be returning.
I was greeted by Vladislav's mother who was very accomodating even though I arrived earlier than communicated.
The apartment is great and really has everything needed for a short stay. The location is very central and close to all the major tourist attractions. If you are scared easily - the area in general and also the access to the flat is fairly dark after sunset. Keep in mind that that seems to be the case for most of Sofia.
Wifi worked perfect throughout my stay and was very fast.
Only minor drawback: The apartment was obviously empty (and unheated) for a few days before my stay. It took almost a day to really warm up. And heating is done through the AC so it's a little noisy.
In short: Highly recommended, but bring warm shoes and clothes for inside in winter - just in case.
I had a great time, the apartment is well equipped, the owners ant made sure to warm the apartment before I arrived, the apartment location is perfect because it's in the center of Sofia, I strongly recommend the others to book this apartment.
Vladi's apartment is a gem. Clean, comfortable, spacious, modern, tasteful. His aunt met us at the apartment to give us the key - she is a wonderfully sweet person! We stayed for Christmas and she gifted us a box of Bulgarian cookies. Very welcoming and delicious!
The apartment is in prime location, within walking distance to many of the attractions. Vladi is also an excellent and very accommodating host. We had travel changes and he was very willing to alter out check in times to the apartment.
Very much recommended!
Contact with Vladislav was alright, his aunt let us in the apartment. She was friendly but doesn't speak a lot of English, luckily my girlfriend speaks Bulgarian. I just read the laminated info paper on the table, which contained all necessary information.
I was rewarded with a fantastic first AirBnB experience at Vladislav's place. Centrally located, extremely "user friendly" apartment with everything I could have desired including a well appropriated kitchen and a small grocery store directly out the front door. Bed was quite comfortable and some large windows offered a great opportunity to watch the sights and sounds of the neighborhood. I also was pleasantly surprised by one of the neighborhood cats who found his way in through the bathroom window and provided some unexpected entertainment. Only challenge I encountered was the tight parking enforcement. Signage said I could park overnight until 7:30AM, and by 8:15 I had a parking ticket and a "boot" on the front tire of my rental car. It was solved with 30 LEV and about 3 minutes later the boot was removed, but I do encourage those who drive to use one of the private parking lots nearby. Though studying half a world away, Vladislav responded to my inquiry within 15 minutes and guided me through the process seamlessly, then his aunt was prompt, pleasant and helpful as she assisted my transition into the apartment. Next time I'm in Sofia I'll likely return...only my curiosity of other AirBnB opportunities would change that. A tip of the hat from me good sir.

My wife and work at a cleantech software company based in Oakland. We love outdoor sports, camping, traveling and spend most weekends out of the city when the weather allows us to do so.
