  • We stayed for 4 nights in this room for vacation. The doorman, Nazzareno received us. He was very kind, had a good conversation with him everytime. When we arrived late evening (11pm) it took almost and hour to get into the room, because he didn't answer his phone nor the door bell, although I told about the late arrival. I guess we fall asleep, this can happen to anybody, but was a bit bad...

Pros: Clean, nice, good condition, good value for the price, next to metro station, downtown in 15 min., aircondition

Cons: Ground floor with ugly outlook therefore you cannot sleep with an opened window, breakfast is just a coffe and a small croissant (We always had to eat some extra after)

Overall: It was okay. If you are tight on budget recommended.

  • I stayed her with my mom and brother, and it was absolutely wonderful! We loved our stay as Nazarini was SO nice and fun to talk to. Also, it is convenient to get to other places. We walked to the Vatican from the flat, and it only took about 30 minutes! Also it is very easy to use to use the metro which is just outside the flat. The metro takes you to the Trevi fountain and Colleseum in just a few minutes! The room was very clean and beautiful. There was even a fridge and television. I highly recommend staying here. Also, it is one of the only places with air conditioning which was greatly appreciated!

  • The room was very clean and nicely/simply decorated and the bathroom recently renovated and very comfortable. We got a double room with a cot added for the 3rd person, not the triple shown in the pictures. Not a ton of space. It is a bit below ground level with the window facing a driveway so there is very little natural light.

We arrived at 11am but the room was still being cleaned so we left our bags with the very nice doorman and came back a couple of hours later. If you are looking to stay in a beautiful neighborhood to explore, eat out, shop, etc I probably would recommend something closer to the center. But if you don't mind taking the metro or buses everywhere (besides the vatican museum, which is a 20 minute walk) then it is a good place to stay for the price. The metro is directly in front of the building and has elevators/escalators.

The tavola calda next door has good homemade simple food if you want something very casual to eat and the bar next door makes good coffee and has great pastries..which was included in the price of the hotel. There is an additional tax they have you pay when you arrive for people staying in Rome. We paid an extra 18 euros on arrival, not sure if it depends on the number of people or nights staying.

  • The apartment was all that was promised and we found it the perfect spot for our too short visit to Rome. Nazareno was, as other reviewers claim, charming, enthusiastic, exceptionally helpful and great fun. My 8 year old son wants to visit Rome again just so we get to visit Nazareno again.

  • You cannot go wrong with casalory. Good location and easy access to public transportation. We stayed in the triple room and it was great. Awesome bathroom and it even had A/C, a good bonus during the summer in Rome. Also, the dooman is awesome. He is hilarious and will stand and talk with you for as long as you will stand there and listen. He is also incredibly helpful on where to go and where to eat and probably whatever else you wanted. Overall, an excellent choice for your stay in Rome.

  • We had a very comfortable stay at Casalory. The central location being very close to the Metro station made commutation very easy to all the tourist spots. It is a nice place to get back after a tiring day. Thank you, Nazareno for your enthusiastic response to our every request and for taking care of our needs during our stay.
Lory, you have a great place and a good help, thank you. Thanks also to Padmanabhan, our son, for finding this place for us. Rajendra Menon

  • The doorman was very nice and the room clean and comfortable. We liked the location as it was very near the metro and about a 20-minute walk to the Vatican.

We only had one problem when we did not yet have the key and couldn't reach the doorman since his cell phone had died, but luckily we found him and were able to get in.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Casalory. Everything was like on the photos. The place is just by the metro station so it is easy to get. We were met by the doorman Nazareno, he turned out to be a really nice person. We were out of the time we engaged to arrive, so he had to wait, but everything was ok.
Rooms are clean, and despite it is a basement floor it is quite and there was no people passing by the window (not a walking area).
So we liked our stay and it worse it's money.

  • Absolutely wonderful experience. The location was wonderful, a mile from the Vatican (great, easy walk) in a delightful neighborhood with wonderful shops and restaurants, right next to an underground stop. Easy access to everything in Rome. The price was excellent--better than places much less convenient and poorer quality. The mini-kitchen (stovetop, refrigerator, sink, etc.) was great for eating in (though we hardly used it with all the great, reasonably priced restaurants nearby). The morning breakfast next door, included in the price, was always a treat--any of a dozen or so types of coffee and a nearly equal number of croissants. I quickly became addicted to chocolate croissants and macciato lattes! Finally, a big "thank you" to Nazareno, the wonderful manager/desk clerk at the apartment, who was always smiling, and always helpful (even at 11 PM).

  • We had a great stay here-- clean and comfortable, very nice doorman to help us with all of our needs. Location is great and within steps from the metro to get us to all of the tourist areas.

    Thank you!

About
I and my husband (Fabrizio) are a middle age couple with a lot of interest about the best way of life. I love to cook (I'm italian!), I like very much to see exhibition, expecially modern art, but the Renaissance picture is my favourite.
