Pine Point is my fabulous 1960's architect designed house with amazing sea views. It is furnished in a laid back mix of vintage and quirky contemporary.
It's bed and breakfast Jim, but not as we know it. Think boutique guesthouse rather than seaside landlady.
Our bed linen is pure cotton and our hot water continuous.
Each room has teas/coffees/mineral water/biscuits etc.
Breakfast is buffet style with cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheeses, eggs etc.
Ventnor is by far the best place to visit on the island which itself is one of ‘the world’s hippest hangouts’ according to Harper’s Bazaar Magazine.
There's great food, (from fine dining at the Hillside Hotel to crab on the beach at Steephill Cove), quirky shops and stunning coastal walks.
The island has festivals and carnivals galore or you can just chill on the sun deck - we have a micro climate in Ventnor and get more sunshine than anywhere else in Britain - fact!
NB A very cute wire fox terrier/sheep cross lives at Pine Point.

We had an amazing time in the town of Ventnor. The accommodation was better than any hotel. It was a beautifully decorated clean room with a lovely en-suite bathroom. The sun terrace was stunning with an excellent view of the sea. Debby was fantastic, very knowledgeable accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with excellent selection and we felt well looked after. We plan to stay here again in the future!
The view is spectacular, the breakfast is delicious, and the host is very helpful! We loved our stay at Pine Point.
Debby's home is truly amazing set in a fantastic location with absolutely stunning sea views. Debby was really helpful even before we set off by suggesting best routes and checking our arrival time to make sure she would be there to welcome us. There are lots of personal touches such as fresh fruit and a fridge, vintage furnishings and luxury bath products. I loved our stay at Pine Point and will return for sure. Ventnor is delightful, with a genteel charm and wonderful micro climate. We loved the Cantina restaurant and the Pimms Bar - uber cool and sophisticated. We travelled around the island by bus with a saver ticket and really feel like we saw the soul of the Island. We took the bus along the west coast and then took another bus up high to look down on the Needles - the views were spectacular and breath taking!! An absolutely stunning weekend with wonderful luxurious but comfy accommodation, delicious food and lots of prosecco and dancing followed by breathtakingly beautiful scenery. What's not to love? Thank you Debby for your generous hospitality.
We had a fantastic stay at Debby's! The room is big with a great bathroom and a little seating area outside. Debby is a really friendly host and very helpful, pointing out the best restaurants in Ventnor. Delicious breakfast with duck eggs and croissants looking out to a panoramic view of the sea.
Our one night stay in February at Pine Point was delightful! We arrived with a pair of road bikes to take advantage of the beautiful seaside road which runs from Ventnor north west to Freshwater with stunning sea views the whole way. There was even a brand new cycle shed at Pine Point for which to store a number of bikes securely. Our room was very spacious and clean with a view of the sea and a lovely new bathroom. The breakfast room had a terrace with a fantastic view! Overall we would highly recommend a stay at Pine Point and will hopefully be returning soon.
We spent a lovely weekend at Debby's fabulous B&B. The room was exactly as pictured, with a comfortable bed and divine toiletries, which were handmade locally. We loved the private garden/patio - perfect for stargazing on a clear night. Breakfast was delicious with a mix of cereals, croissants, yoghurt and fruit and on the last day we had some tasty banana bread. As we were doing some hiking on the downs on our last day, Debby kindly let us leave our luggage in the hallway after we had checked out which proved very useful indeed. Debby's restaurant suggestions were invaluable. All in all she was the perfect host. I would definitely return to Pine Point for another short break in Ventnor.

About the Host, Debby
Born and bred in London, I moved to Ventnor, Isle of Wight, in 2001 when I found my wow factor 60's home with 180 degree sea views. It was the best move I've ever made and, as the house is pretty spacious, I can now share it with guests.
I also have two self-catering homes, one in Ventnor, one in Shanklin.
With a background in vintage/design/PR/retail, I host my places to the high standard that I'd want if I were the traveller. I also know a heck of a lot about the IOW - where to go and what to do - and I'm the sort of person who likes to pass on all the hints and tips!
