Frans and Loecky are wonderful hosts. Their apartment is just as shown in the pictures. It is modern and spotless. Everything you could possibly want is found in the fully equipped kitchen. Having a clothes washer is particularly helpful if you are there for a few days. Snacks and a few beverages were in the apartment when we arrived. A nice supply of coffee and teas are always available. A supermarket is within easy walking distance for everything else you want to purchase if you plan on preparing some of your own meals. The houseboat is located in the southernmost part of Amsterdam which made it very appealing to us. After spending hours in the museums and other busy tourist areas, it was nice to hop on a tram and return to a residential area on a quiet canal. The walk to the tram is about 15 or 20 minutes, and the tram takes you directly to Central Station. Since it is close to the end of tram line #1, we always got a seat, even on weekday mornings when many people were going to work. A special bonus was the fact that Frans offered to pick us up at the airport for a modest fee. After a long transatlantic flight, it was wonderful not to hassle with luggage and navigate other forms of transportation. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for modern comfort away from the hectic center of the city.

Frans's place was amazing and had a beautiful view that could not be beat. We were able to use his bikes which made getting to the tram station super easy and after a day of exploring the city it was great to come back to a quiet and peaceful place. We had a wonderful stay!

Charming houseboat situated on a canal about 20 minutes away from the city by tram. Frans and his wife were very hospitable and had champagne and snacks waiting for us upon our arrival. It is about a 15 min walk to the tram station from the house, or you can take the bicycles they provide if you wish. The neighborhood felt safe and was nice to get away from the city after a day of exploring. Frans was nice enough to pick us up from the airport and drop us off to the train station at he beginning and end of our trip for a small fee, which was a big help! Thanks for everything and would stay again.

Frans's place is highly recommended: this by far the best AirBnB I've stayed in. Communication with Frans was superb and he offered us a pick from the airport cheaper than a taxi, which we accepted. The house boast is just fab! Like all reviewers are saying, lots of thoughtful extras made our stay even more amazing: snacks, drinks, fruit etc. The houseboat is so peaceful...with the exception of the moorhens wanting breakfast from gullible tourists; standing at the windows and they will race at you at Olympic speed! We didn't use the bikes, but the tram is 5 minutes away and takes you straight to the station (even on a Sunday they seemed to arrive every 5 minutes). Staying out of the centre might not be for everyone but to be away from the stag and hen parties was perfect for us. I'd definitely try to book again if I visited Amsterdam again.

My husband and I truly loved our stay on the house boat! We rode the bikes provided to the tram to get to the city and had peace and serenity when we returned at night! This is a place where I would stay again and again! Frans and his wife were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed!
