One bedroom apartment in central Santiago with fifteenth floor views towards the mountains. The five year old apartment building has pools, gym, guest parking, laundry. The apartment has a living room, one bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with tub and shower, a small balcony, and a fully-equipped kitchen (oven, electric hobs, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer). There is also cable television and a broadband Wifi internet connection.
The apartment building is on Avenida Vicuña Mackenna, one of the main arteries into central Santiago. From here you can walk to sites such as the La Moneda government palace, the Bellavista neighborhood, the San Cristobal hill and the Plaza de Armas.
Alternatively, it is just a ten minute walk to the Santa Isabel and Irarrazaval metro stations, both on Metro Line 4 which runs to Baquedano (for Bellavista and San Cristobal), Bellas Artes (for the Fine Arts museum and Lastarria neighborhood) and Plaza de Armas (for downtown Santiago). Alternatively, dozens of buses and collective taxis also run along Vicuña Mackenna. There is a bus stop one block from the building.
For shopping, there is a brand new supermarket just a couple of hundred meters down the street, but for fresh food, try the nearby street markets which are held on Diez de Julio (Sundays) and Camilo Henriquez (Fridays). The Bustamante park is just one block from the building and stretches all the way to Plaza Italia, great for a stroll or a jog. There are plenty of great restaurants and cafes on the side of the park. Try the Providencia Literary Cafe, a public library and cafeteria rolled into one. And just across the street, we have the Facetas theatre which puts on theatre and musical shows most weekends.
Stayed here for almost six months and it was really fantastic. The area is very safe and surrounded by the essential amenities (supermarket, outdoor market, tube/bus stops, restaurants etc).
The flat itself is perfect - v small but exactly what we were looking for and the building is superb. There are two pools, a sauna and a gym, and the guys on the front desk are beyond compare.
It really was home and I will be sad to leave!
Recomendo a todos do Airbnb!
Great apartment, with a well equiped kitchen and a welcoming bedroom, and a breathtaking view of the Andes.
Nice and clean building, with laundry and kind staff.
Safe neighborhood, with many facilities just around the corner, such as cheap and nice restaurants, supermarket and a street fair at fridays and sundays.
Tom couldn't meet us personaly, but his mother in law Mirta was very kind and informative.
Very nice apartment, great location - all as advertised. Good wireless speed! Tom was VERY responsive throughout the process and arrival/departure system is very easy.
