Our stay in Durango with Candance was excellent. The cabin was comfortable and met our needs especially with the small kitchen. The area around the cabin was quiet and beautiful. Candance greeted us upon arrival and made us feel welcome. If you are visiting Durango, we'd recommend staying at this location.

I loved staying at Candace's quiet mountain cottage. It is a beautiful 10-15 minute drive from things right in Durango and such a comfortable and peaceful place! Gorgeous views of the eastern mountains of Animas Valley are right out the window and the front windows of the cottage are south facing for wonderful light on sunny winter days! Candace thought of everything to make the cottage cozy and pleasant right down to a humidifier and an iron and ironing board, adirondack chairs outside and an outdoor table for enjoying meals or coffee. Candace is a great hostess - friendly and helpful. She kept me abreast of the local goings on and thanks to her I enjoyed a few things I would have missed out on otherwise. I enjoyed being able to cook and eat in my beautiful surroundings and also enjoyed a few great local places Candace suggested. Another of the wonderful surprises Candace introduced me to was the fire road at the end of the driveway where I took several hour long hikes up in the ponderosa pine forests above the cottage with deer, squirrels and lots of birds and gorgeous views of the valley. I would stay with Candace again anytime and recommend her cottage for anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay during their visit to Durango.
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. I would definitely recommend it!
Candace was a great host and we really enjoyed our stay. Perfect place for a couple!
