Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Comfortable setting, ease of access in and out. Pleasure to stay at the house, Angel has thought of all the little touches, including Suncreen etc.. Would stay here again on the next trip to Austin.

  • Angel is a very inspiring person! I was so impressed with her cool house and all the work she put into it, and she was so fun to hang out with! We even went out about town and had a great time! She was so kind to me and my dog, it felt like staying with a good friend (which is a great thing in a new city). The room and the bed were super comfortable, and it was great to have a guest bathroom with all the cool furniture. The whole house is full of cool furniture! She's such a conscientious host that your questions will be answered before you even think of them. For real. You should definitely definitely stay here. Maybe forever.

  • The house was fun, charming and clean. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Angel responded promptly when we had any questions. Would definitely return.

    March 2014
  • Angel was an awesome host, very communicative before we even booked, leading up to our stay, and even when I had to wake her up at 3am when we locked ourselves out, she was a total sweetheart. Btw, don't lock yourselves out!

  • Super cute, comfy place close to shops/restaurants on 11th and a quick jaunt to downtown. Definitely would stay there again!

  • Angel's place was lovely, well decorated, and very convenient. Her guidebook was spot on with excellent places to visit for food or local fun. Would stay again!

    February 2014
  • We stayed at Angel's for my best friend's bachelorette party and it was like staying with a friend. Her home is lovely, comfortable and just a great place to hang out in between checking out the attractions around Austin. I recommend anyone to Angel's if they visit Austin.

    February 2014
  • Great Place! Six of us stayed here for one night and really enjoyed the time (especially the chickens). The house is cute, comfortable, and spacious. Angel gave clear directions about the house, neighborhood, and how to check in and out. She was also flexible with our check in time which was very helpful. The location is convenient and it's a nice walk to the East 6th St. restaurants and bars. The house and yard are so pleasant that we wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of them.

    January 2014
  • My parents happened to be coming through Austin on my last day of a weekend visit, so we decided to rent Angel's place to have a good place to hangout. We spent the afternoon playing spades and watching my toddler talk to the chickens, we had a great meal at Parkside, and then we came back home and watched a movie. It was a great day, and we were grateful to have a nice place to stay.

We locked ourselves out at one point, and Angel fixed the problem in 10 seconds.

The neighborhood was great. We were a short walk to vintage heart coffee and a bunch of really good places to eat like Quis and Eastside King. We were right next to a great library and awesome playground as well. And we were about 5 minutes from downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

I love sharing my home with friends and strangers alike. I've lived in Austin for 12 years and am happy to point you to spots off the beaten path (Cathedral of Junk) to the sparkling jewels in the middle of the city (Barton Springs). I'm a User-Experience Designer for a Clean Tech/Energy Management start-up. I love the challenge and rewards of conserving in all aspects of life. I enjoy bike riding, brewing and drinking craft beer, gardening, petting my chickens, sewing and DIY projects, seeing live music, traveling, and eating great food. I've only been to 13 countries and 25 states. I most recently spent a few months in Hawaii living off grid on a living farm that is doing reforestation on the Big Island.
