  • WOW! Our weekend stay was absolutely relaxing and wonderful. A welcoming meal with Jim and Dorthea was both unexpected and a real treat. The guest cabin was so cozy and much quieter than staying at a nearby resort. It was a unique experience and one we would repeat again.

  • Our get-away-weekend on the boat was fantastic. Not only were we welcomed with a great dinner, but also treated as friends and, by the time to say good-bye, we felt that we had found family. Jim and Dorothea are the best hosts ever. The boat is roomy and has amazing woodworks everywhere. We had our private space with own bathroom, and everything was kept clean and inviting. We also enjoyed the time on the little balcony, sipping some good wine and looking at the stars. The proximity to the beaches is a plus, as well as the impressive surroundings of the Myrtle Beach Yacht Club, including the beautiful pool. We will definitively go back to the Island Odyssey to enjoy another escape from the daily grind.

  • James and Dorothea were the best hosts. They made me feel like I was family or friends immediately. Staying on the boat was wonderful. Morning coffee on deck and great breakfasts. I look forward to a return visit. Great experience.

  • Of our many great Airbnb experiences, this has been our best one yet! Jim and Dorothea are the quintessential hosts - they're great entertainers and cooks as well. You'll find that the best part of going to Myrtle Beach will turn out to be the breakfasts or dinners you have with Jim and Dorothea.

  • We were excited to find another boat to stay on for our anniversary this year. We did the same thing last year in Charleston, but I can honestly say Jim and Dorothea's boat was not only bigger and nicer, but also much more relaxing because we had hosts who cooked and cleaned for us! We were able to come and go as we pleased, hang out at the pool, take a walk down to the lighthouse and have afternoon cocktails on the back deck. We cannot wait to go back! Anyone can stay in a hotel, but this is such a unique experience, I would recommend it to everyone.

  • the boat was very nice beautiful wood work had everything you would need a little tight in the bath but overall good . Jim was a great host whew he was there they had to go home the day we got there so he showed how to work things and left . having the whole boat was great and a peaceful time . thank you again ken

  • Staying on the Island Odyssey in Myrtle Beach seemed like so much more fun than one of the highrises. And it was. Our hosts were great, would have enjoyed talking with them more if
only we'd had the time. They were more flexible than a
bed and breakfast and my need to sleep late and recover from "jet lag" was just fine.

We arrived late but our hosts stayed up to direct us to the boat and greet us. We enjoyed their company and our first visit to South Carolina and Myrtle Beach, greatly because the Klamfoths made it such a unique experience.

  • The Klamfoths are a very welcoming, and excellent host. Their yacht is very clean, comfortable, and does not smell like musk or mildew. They provided us with fantastic conversation, delicious food, and privacy. Thank you for a wonderful stay. My wife and I would stay with them anytime again!!

  • Our weekend with Jim and Dorothea was simply wonderful! The yacht was first class. The room and bath were gracious and the whole weekend was welcoming with ALL of the amenities!!! We shared good food and good times. . . . Not to mention great conversation. . . . We highly recommend the experience and look forward to more. The Chamberlains

Being retired from the automotive business I now have free time to enjoy the world around me. This includes the wonders of nature, fly fishing, and boating but I also enjoy traveling a good resturant, theatre and entertaining. I have had more fun by listing my property with AIRBNB. I have met the nicest people with interesting stories and jobs. I look forward to meeting my next guest and welcoming home return guests. Just spent time in Jacksonville on the boat. Took a trip to St. Augustine via.the ICW. It is a day trip, waters were calm and you could view Jacksonville from the water. Not only do you see tall city buildings and then beautiful Florida estates with boat docks but there are also the birds and other wildlife. Dolphins swam alonside jumping out of the water. We docked at the City Dock in St Augustine near Lions Bridge and stayed there.. St Augustine is beautiful with many sights to see, shopping and good reasturants. They have a transportation system that is great for sightseeing. It anyone cares to go let me know on airbnb. Spring is around the corner and a new foal is due. The flowers will blossom and new life will begin. It is great to beable to live life.
