This was my second time at Akane's and it was as good as the first time. I stayed for 6 weeks and really enjoyed it. Akane is always helpful and replies promptly to all your enquiries. The apartment is cosy, very clean, pretty well stocked and in a very quiet street. Both Hiroo and Ebisu stations are at a walking distance and if you walk for 2 minutes you can take a bus to Shibuya station (you get there in 15 min). You will also find all kinds of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, a park (Arisugawa Park in Hiroo) and the Ebisu Garden Place nearby (with two museums). I really recommend this apartment and will certainly book it again!
very nice place our friend are very happy ^^
The studio of Akane is strategically located between the Ebisu and Hiro-o train station. We especially like the surrounding of Hiroo train station with this street full of restaurants/bar and interesting places. All you need is within 3 min walk form the apartment. I especially recommend the city bakery (although a bit pricey) on the way to Hiroo train station. The premises are perfectly clean and in line with what is written in the announcement. All devices are working well and the heating system is easy and efficient (so is the airco). Akane also offers the thickest and warmest blankets I have ever experienced in my life. The environment is very quiet.
We were a party of 3 (two adults + 1 young child) and the space was enough for us.
I definitely recommend this place for individual, couple or small family.
One last point, reaching the apt is very easy. N'ex train to Ishigawa + connection on yamamote line(one single ticket) to Ebisu then a very short taxi ride (we paid around 710 Y) or walk to the apartment.
My wife and I stayed at Akane's apartment for six days (we left one day short of our seven day booking) and had a great time. The apartment was just as described: quiet, cozy, and clean. We didn't spend much (email hidden) because we were always out shopping and sight-seeing, but the location is very convenient which is why I booked it in the first place.
The apartment is located between Ebisu Station and Hiro-o Station, but if you don't mind walking you can easily get to other areas by foot without too much difficulty. For example, my wife and I enjoyed walking to Roppongi Hills on a couple occasions (for shopping or to visit the Mori Art Museum), which took about 20 minutes.
There are many good places to eat in Ebisu and there is an excellent (Osaka style) okonomiyaki restaurant a few blocks away from the apartment called Bochi Bochi that I highly recommend. There are also some good restaurants in Hiro-o and a good bakery (Kobeya).
We didn't get to meet Akane, but her mother was cleaning the place when we arrived and she gave us a quick tour and left us the key. My communication with Akane was very good - she responded to my emails very promptly.
Akane was an excellent host and her apartment is in a really great location. She emailed regularly to ensure everything went smoothly both before I arrived and during my stay, and she was always friendly and helpful. I had a positive experience from start to finish. The photos match her apartment perfectly and I was very happy to have chosen her place for my six week stay in Tokyo. I highly recommend her place to anyone looking for a high quality apartment!
The flat was just as described: cozy, clean and quite. We had heavy bags when we arrived so took a taxi from the station which cost 710 yen. The walk between the flat and Ebisu station was quite enjoyable even after a long day's journey, which became our favorite part of the day. The flat was spacious for two, with plenty of towels and bedding. We were pleasantly surprised to find good coffee also provided so we didn't have to go shopping. It was very cold in Tokyo during our stay but there were plenty of heating device. I can't praise enough for Akane's shower and bath, just what was needed after a long day out.
There are plenty of shops and restaurants around Ebisu Station. I saw bakery and supermarket in the station building, but didn't have time to go in. After coming back from a particularly long day, we stopped by the station building to have some nice noodles before heading back, which was very convenient.
All in all I really enjoyed this experience. If I visit Tokyo again I'd definitely consider staying at Akane's again.
Akane's apartment is in a fantastic location, it is about a 5-10 minute walk from Ebisu station, which is a main station that can get you to most places in Tokyo easily. I would recommend taking a taxi from Ebisu station the first time you go to the apartment as it might be tricky to find the first time especially if you have luggage, it's about 800 yen.
The apartment itself was very clean and had everything necessary, all the facilities worked very well (great shower). We went in the winter, so the heaters were definitely welcome.
We didn't meet Akane, but she seemed very nice and helpful when I spoke to her via email and on the phone. She was very prompt in replying any questions you might have.
Staying at Akane's place was great. She has a nice, clean apartment which was well stocked with towels and bedding. It's in a quiet location, a train stop from Shibuya and easy access to Harajuku and Shinjuku. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Although Akane was away, she was easily accessible through email. She was extremely easy to deal with.
I have nothing but positive things to say about this apartment and Akane. The apartment was very clean and the bedding was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was great - hot shower, great water pressure. I didn't want to leave at the end of my trip.
The area is perfect if you want to be close to main areas - 1 subway stop from shibuya, 2 from harajuku, and 4 from shinjuku.
Ebisu also has a lot of very cute little restaurants and bars within close proximity to the apartment. I would recommend taking a cab from the station because I know I would have gotten lost, but that is only due to the amount of small similar streets in the area.
If I were ever back in Tokyo this is where I would want to stay.
Akane's apartment is great! Exactly as described. A good size for Tokyo where apartments are pretty teeny. It has everything you need, washing machine, great shower room with awesome water pressure and a complete kitchen. The bed is a Japanese style futon which might take some getting used to if you like a soft western style bed but we were very comfortable and warm. We didn't get to meet Akane herself as she was overseas but we met her very kind mother who showed us around and made sure we were happy with everything before leaving us to our own devices. Akane gave us perfect instructions for finding the apartment as Japanese addresses can be a bit confusing.
The apartment is extremely convenient to Ebisu and Hiro-o (email hidden)ightly closer to Hiro-o. The area is quiet and safe. We would definitely recommend Akane's apartment.
