Less than a mile to the Conseco Fieldhouse, the Convention Center, Monument Circle and the Canal - Lucas Oil Stadium (Colts), IUPUI's campus,the National Institute for Fitness and Health (NIFS), Clarian, Methodist Hospital and Eli Lilly's World Headquarters are less than another mile away. Only 3 miles from the world famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indianapolis 500!!!
Former guests include Broadway Across America cast members performing at the Murat Temple two blocks away, professional athletes from Europe, animators who worked with George Lucas on Star Wars here for an iMax convention - summer law interns, med students doing a rotation, Lilly interns doing externships....they all LOVE the condo and location. Neighbors include Jimmy Buffet's manager and a Brazilian winner of both the Indianapolis 500 and Dancing with the Stars! Many professional athletes and members of various Indianapolis 500 teams maintain residences within a 2-3 block radius. They all appreciate the fine restaurants and shops, as well as the convenience of the Chatham Arch/Mass Ave neighborhood located in the heart of the arts district and DIRECTLY on Indianapolis' new and already world famous CULTURAL BIKE/WALKING TRAIL - literally outside the door of this magnificent condo.
Originally built as a two bedroom shotgun home, this condo has undergone a renovation that landed it on the cover of Indianapolis Home Magazine's Inaugural Edition. It is the ultimate in urban living on Hip Mass Ave.
The front of the condo contains living/dining/kitchen - then a long hall with access to the kitchen, laundry and bath - and then a second large area, which was formerly a master bedroom and a guest bedroom, has been opened up, with all interior walls removed. The area is divided by a cubed book case with a KING SIZE BED on one side and a work area/den on the other (it is ALL open to each other - see pictures and captions).
There is also a SEPARATE room - a walk in closet - which has been converted into a small Van Gogh bedroom with a twin bed, table/lamp and chair. It has a door and is completely private, but small.
Please note the accommodation is for three people in two beds (1 king, 1 twin) taking into consideration two of those people will be in the king bed. I do NOT have three separate beds. As this has come up in the past, I am posting this clarification.
One bathroom. Completely renovated condo owned by local interior designer. Very nicely decorated. The rate is $186 per night for up to three guests. Because the condo is open plan and does not have separate bedrooms, you will have the condo fully to yourselves and I will sleep off-site. Rates are preferential for extended stay guests (7 nights or more $139/night), monthly rate is $1954 ($69/night). All rentals longer than 30 days include on site private garage in a gated lot.

Airport Pick up/Drop off - Please contact me after making reservation, but I can usually pick up or drop off guests at the Indianapolis International Airport. $25 flat fee for up to 3 people per trip to airport.
GREAT neighborhood. At the corner of Mass Avenue and Park Avenue in the center of the Indianapolis Culture and Culinary District and on the newly opened INDIANAPOLIS CULTURAL TRAIL!!! Across the street from 45 (Sushi and Martini Bar), YOGULATTE (yoghurt and coffee shop) CHATHAM TAP (English Sports Pub with live streaming from the UK - rated in January 2014 by USA TODAY as one of the 10 best sports bars in the United States!), MESH (upscale dining), TINI - my favorite local martini bar with an even mix of straight and gay clientele, METRO (Indy's "Cheers" of Gay Bars with kareoke, billiards and dining), HENRY'S ON EAST - a fantastic local coffee shop, Theater on the Square (TOTS), the Phoenix Theater, and two blocks from Rathskeller German Beer Garden, the Murat Temple (concerts, shows, Broadway Across America), Starbucks, Hoaglin's Cafe,and R BISTRO (Indy's original farm to table restaurant with locally sourced foods and an amazing menu that changes weekly, BLACK MARKET (fantastic menu, communal dining and great garden dining in season), YATS (Cajun/Creole - delicious and inexpensive etouffee), INDY READS (independent used bookstore), MASS AVE WINE (large selection with individual service, tastings and a big wall of under $20 wines), DELICIA (Mexican), BAXBEAUX (voted Indy's best pizza), THE BALL AND BISCUIT (30s speakeasy drinks and tapas bar), BRU BURGER, SAFFRON CAFE (Morroccan), RALSTON'S (small plates and beers), PIZZOLOGY and more - all within a 3 block radius. Interaction with Guests
I am always available but leave guests to enjoy their stay independently.
Mass Avenue is a trendy downtown corridor northeast of the Circle with lots of independent shops, restaurants, coffee houses and bars, along with theaters and clubs.
Indy Metro has a bus stop around the corner with lines running downtown and to Broad Ripple and Glendale. The Cultural Trail connects directly to the Monon Trail running from downtown up to Carmel and Westfield - great for biking and walking. Free street parking directly outside door. Paid street parking on Mass Ave (free at 9 PM-9AM and on Sundays). Garage space available on all subleases over 28 days.
Before you leave, please strip sheets and pillow covers off any beds which were used - and along with used towels - place in small hallway outside washer and dryer. Bed spreads and blankets are dry cleaned, please fold and place on bed - NOT with the sheets and towels.
*No outside guests allowed in condo without prior written approval. Disregarding this rule or exceeding occupancy which you booked will result in loss of security deposit.*
I have accepted kenneled dogs twice without problem, each decision is based on conversation with owner. A $75 NON-REFUNDABLE/NON-NEGOTIABLE cleaning fee applies. Each request individually made. DO NOT MAKE AN INSTANT BOOK RESERVATION IF YOU HAVE NOT CONSULTED ME FIRST ABOUT THE *POSSIBILITY* OF BRINGING YOUR PET. No other pets allowed.
Please do not smoke in condo or public areas inside or immediately surrounding building - the vents spread smoke into all the other units. The deposit will not be returned for failure to abide by this ban.
Until recently I have not collected security deposits, however, because several guests have recently left belongings and asked for me to return items via mail I have decided this is the easiest way to collect fees for any items I need to mail. Until now I have not typically been reimbursed for cost of returning items to guests. I return items at the cost of mailing, purchasing any packaging required for shipping + $10 for my time and I will file as claim against deposit. Please review AirBnB's policies and recommendations for collecting deposits. FYI: items most often left are phone/computer chargers, books, and clothes hanging in closet - also - check the fridge before you leave!!!! I've even had to return a special bottle of wine!

Beautiful apartment with everything one could need for your stay. Good recommendations for eating out and places to go. Mass Ave is a great location with fantastic restaurants and we highly recommend the farmer's market. Matt wasn't there himself but ensured we were in good hands with Wendy.
Awesome location and condo. Matt is the consummate host. This area is near the best things downtown Indy has to offer. The condo is spacious, clean, and comfortable.
Matt was extremely helpful getting us set up with this reservation. His apartment is wonderful and the neighborhood is one of a kind. I loved how close we were to so many cool restaurants and bars, and I couldn't believe how close we were to downtown! Thank you so much for letting us stay!
Matt met us at the apartment upon arrival and gave us a thorough tour of the apartment. The space was plenty large enough to accommodate three adults and was a great space to just relax. It was within walking distance of anything we could need (mainly Gen*Con!). We had a great stay and would highly recommend! :)
This is the perfect place to stay if you want to experience the best of downtown Indianapolis. There are plenty of good restaurants, pubs and shops nearby, yet the condo is nestled on a quiet residential street. It is comfortable and charming, and the host, Matt, could not be more accommodating.
I spent almost 2 months in Matt's condo. The condo is located on Mass Ave - a trendy street in downtown Indianapolis. Many of the main city happenings are located right at your doorstep. Plus there are lots of pubs and restaurants very close. The place was exactly what I needed for a comfortable stay in Indy. The condo has everything one could need for such an extended stay. Matt was always helpful with whatever I needed or had a question with, and always responded promptly. I highly recommend this place!

Welcome to Indianapolis! I was born and raised here in Indianapolis, and despite stints away and abroad, am proud to make Indianapolis my home. I am a well travelled architectural interior designer who loves making new friends. I have lived in Vienna, Budapest and London as well as worked on a cruise ship for 3 years. I have travelled to approximately 70 countries on every continent but Antarctica. I especially love foreign visitors! I consider the world my home. I am a very congenial host. The condo is open concept. I can arrange to leave breakfast or leave you on your own - there are several great breakfast places and coffee shops on my street.
